Question about Avanti Refrigerators
I have had this cooler for several years with no problems. Recently I noticed ice built up inside the unit in the top back part. I unplugged the unit and placed it outside for a day or so and allowed all the ice to melt away. When I plugged the unit back up, I heard a popping sound and the unit doesn't seem to work now. Any suggestions?

Own the same model, the icemaker and the dispenser work properly but the leak is top center of the refrigerator compartment.

You can power the refrigerator on after 3-4 hours, as per _any_ manufacturer's instruction manual. But seriously, all you need to do is give it about 3 hours and you will be fine.

A lot of time during storms the control boards in appliances get messed up. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in after about 20 seconds. A lot of times that will reset the controls.....if they did not get fried.

Hi, sounds to me as though your temperature control is faulty, and the unit is running all the time. This control will have to be replaced. This is something you can do if you take your time and draw a wiring diagram in case you forget. It will have a long coiled up wire with a bulb on the end of it mounted in the evaporator section in the refrigerator section. This all comes out together. This is the only thing that would cause this problem. Get all of the numbers, model, serial, and part numbers when you go to the appliance parts house to get one. You should have no problems in doing this. Please keep me posted as I am sure this unit is worth changing out the stat.
