Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
What kind of printer are you having issues with? Is it laser, ink jet, or something else entirely. Try a few things first. Open services in the control panel and stop than restart the printer spool service. Than unplug the unit count to ten than power the unit on. Open all trays and make sure the unit is clean. If the unit is networked make sure your PC is connected to the printer. Reinstall or update the printer drivers.

SOURCE: unable to init
That error is very general, usually just a piece of paper caught either on the extreme right or left hand sides driven there by the carriage assembly after a jam. You need a flashlight to see and also pull the carriage out of the right side, carefully, to look where the printhead parks when shut down.
