It could be any of several things: 1. clean the machine... this is the first thing to do for most sewing machine problems. 2. oil the machine... you should be doing this about once a week to once a month depending upon how much you use it. 3. Change the needle and be sure you're using the correct needle for the application. For quilting, I usually use an 80 or 90 sharps. Be sure to use a new one after 6 or 7 hours of sewing. They get dull and can fail to pick up the thread. 4. Re-thread the machine, making sure you've got the bobbin in properly and all of the thread tension systems are set right. 5. take it to the repair shop... if all of this has failed, it's probably the timing being off and most machines need a professional to adjust their timing once a year or so if you sew a lot.

I am a swimwear designer and just got a juki ddl 8300n did I pick a good machine? How can I adjust the machine for a more stretchy stitch?! What number should my stitch dial be on to get a stretch?

Perhaps a manual would be helpful:

You should probably contact the manufacturer with questions. Hopefully, you did some thorough research before purchasing this machine. From the info I found, it appears to be a straight stitch only machine. I don't know anything about this machine, but I would be hesitant to purchase a straight stitch machine for sewing swimwear. Usually, swimwear needs a stretch stitch or zig-zag capability. Just my thoughts...

How do I stop my Juki DDL-8700 machine from skipping stitches?

set up on quilting table? wheres the oil pan?? if your machine sews fine straight and skips on curves i think you are lifting the presser ft as you make the turn. theres nothing wrong with the machine. you could always change the needle which is always the first thing when you encounter a sewing problem.

There is a wrong way and right way to insert a new needle in an industrial juki sewing machine. I happen to have a computerized model which way does the needle go into the machine?

-If your bobbin case is inserted from the left side of the machine, then the scarff( indentation on the back side of the needle ) should be on the right side as you insert the needle.
