Question about Sony Video Cameras
Depending on the model of camera you should be able to connect it to the PC using either a USB cable or Firewire Cable then use your video editing software to capture the video. If the camera uses SD cards, you can eject the card from the camera and plug it into the computer.

I have installed my 350e with the WinXP drivers on my Vista box. After install went ok, the DVD-Cam drive came up under my computer.
Copied the video file across to the desktop and changed the extension to MPG.
Plays fine in WMP, should be able to edit ok with Vegas or smilir I guess.
At least I can download from the camera disks and archive now. :)

if you are trying to play the dvd in the computer you have to finalize it first. The Camcorder has to be plugged in for this to work. if you want to see the Pictures make sure that you have it in the view mode. Where you would see ll the pictures on the camera, then it should show up on you "My Computer". It took me a while too. Good luck
