Cycle switch keeps tripping

Switch actuator (usually on washer lid) is probably broken if you can complete the cycle by depressing switch manually.

Washer is completing all cycles, but water from wash cycle.is left.in washer and clothes are still soaking wet. No water drains out.

check the Lid safety switch, if its shorted the spin cycle won't work, so your left with wet clothes ,, you can jumper the 2 wires together to test the switch , if that makes the cycle work, Replace that switch

Washer will not complete the wash cycle.

faulty cycle switch. Try moving the switch manually when it reaches spin mode. Watch the switch when it reaches this phase of the wash/spin cycle to see what is does. If it jams or resets itself it needs to be replaced

Wash will not drain

Hi, When the cycle goes into drain, do you hear the motor humming at all? If the motor does not hum, check the lid switch.
If the washer agitates, there must be a problem with lid switch ot timer. The lid switch is most common.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

My top-loading Maytag starts to fill with water when I turn it on and then completely stops and doesn't do anything more.

it could have a problem with the pressure switch.
the water supposed to trigger the start of the wash cycle and turns off the filling cycle.

it is a single trow switch that disconnect the connection of water filling and connect the wash cycle on.

maybe it is disconnecting the filling cycle but would not connect the wash cycle.

tnx 4 using fixya,
