Question about Samsung Gt-C6712
I agree with Ramesh regarding your Samsung, and a hard reset. However as he states this will lose all your data.
There is a programme called Samsung Kies, which you can download from here:
Kies Samsung UK
which allows you to synchronise data with a PC, back your data up to a PC, and several other useful functions. One thing I don't know is whether you need to have the password for the phone to use it. The programme works fine with my Samsung - but then mine isn't passworded. It must be worth a try in order to save your data somehow before you do a hard reset.
I hope Kies does work without the password.

If you forgot your phone code, what you can do is to have a hard reset. Hard reset means restoring the phone back to its original factory settings. if you do not do a factory reset, then you cannot change the code. It is the only way that you can change it. But on the other hand, this method deletes everything that you have saved in your phone memory. Including images, contacts, videos and everything on your phone memory. To do a hard reset on your Samsung GT-C6712, do the following steps:
1. Turn on your phone.
2. Open your dialer/dial pad.
3. Type: *2767*3855#
4. If there will be a confirmation message, just choose Yes.
5. Wait for the process to finish.
Note Use the code on your own Risk
you will lose all the contacts and private data
Note: After the hard reset, your phone will automatically reboot itself. If your device freezes after doing a hard reset, just do this:

I suspect that the phone which you are using is SIM locked and hence you are facing such problem. Usually the phones which are SIM locked cannot detect the SIM card other than the SIM card which has been allowed to be used. If any unsupported SIM card is inserted in the phone, such errors will be faced. Therefore I would suggest that you check if the phone is SIM locked or not and then go ahead with different troubleshooting procedure.

Read this friend, Go to site at bottom of here for an example site.
There are lots of places on the Internet.
The reason it is not free is that SAMSUNG MUST be paid to do it by 'someone' as ONLY they can provide.the code.
This is also done to stop theft of Mobiles.and Samsung will centrally check each request to see if phone reported stolen.
Unfortunately you cannot obtain free codes for the Samsung Gt-c6712 and there currently is no way of unlocking the Samsung Gt-c6712 for free, infact you should be very warey of companies offering codes for the Samsung Gt-c6712 for very cheap prices as these are often scams that take your money
Go here for example site and prices.
