What's the remote code for a dvr-231, pioneer dvd recorder

Codes are stored in the remote. If you have a universal remote, you can use its code search feature to find something that will work. If a thorough search through all codes stored in the remot is unsuccessful, you may have to try another universal remote.

Need the code

If your RCA remote is programmable, you can use its code search feature to seek a code for your Sony DVD player. If a search through all codes stored in the remote is unsuccessful, you may have to try another programmable remote.

Why does powerdirector 12 keep saying burn unsuccessful on one particular video?

Do you have enough ram for it to properly render the video? It may be an issue if its a very large video file.

When playing a DVD, I get sound but not a picture. The message on the screen is no input, check input. I have checked the cables at the DVD and at the TV and both are connected correctly, i.e. red to...

Have you tried using standard RCA AV cables? yellow-red-white - to TV. Or have you tried using an S-Video cable (a 5-pin mini DIN plug) between your DVD player and TV? if your TV has S-Video input, and your player has S-Video output, a cable for this should be easy to obtain and connect. Not expensive either.

Your TV should automatically detect the connection of S-Video (if it has this feature). S-Video is better quality than standard RCA yellow AV cable. (you can leave the existing component video connected)

You can also check your DVD player 'setup' maybe it is incorrect - make sure when using component video (red-green-blue) to set the player's output to progressive (for a TV that supports it) - unless it is already set to this.

If everything in the setup menu checks out OK, go with the cheap and easy S-Video cable suggestion. Radio Shack may sell these.

My blu-ray player can't read my Avatar disc but all my other blu-ray dics work.

Go into the player's menu and disable BD-Live, then try again. I have an LG player so I can't help you with the Pioneer's setup menu. However, BD-Live is a feature on most if not all players so it's in your setup menu somewhere.
By the way, I experience the same issue with the Date Night disk. Now that I've disabled BD-Live I don't have the problem.

Volume is too low.

smith,

good day, not so familiar with this model but try this.

1) try to check in your DVD remote controller if it does have a + and - buttons indicating volume , if does have this features press + button to increase the sound output

2) if remote commander doesn't have this features try accessing the " SETUP" menu. most probably there would be a button in your dvd remote indicating this button "SETUP"

3)once you've access the setup menu, there would be a dialogue box indicating ( Video setup, Audio Setup, display setup, parental lock) insome cases it will show you a display picture of all this menu

navigate the dialogue box and look for "audio setup" once you've access this part there would be options and controls where you can change the volume/audio settings .

cheers,
mark

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or yourbrand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, trythe following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when youreach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing thefollowing steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keysor press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock inyour new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat stepsthrough 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the newfeature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned
