Why can't gmail accept my new password?

If you cannot access with the new password, have you tried the old one? Sometimes the new one doesn't take correctly. also, since most passwords do not display when changed, and even assuming you had to enter it twice to confirm, check to be sure that you didn't enter it with CAPSLOCK on. Passwords are usually case-sensitive.

Go to the gmail login page, and click forgot password. You can reset it after answering your security password, there is also the option of adding your phone number in case you forget it again.

You should write your passwords for each account in notepad, and name it something that would remind you that it is for passwords. Do not name it passwords, as a hacker will look for that file if you get hacked.

Cherry Pie recipe, or something else that is not so obvious could save your passwords from prying eyes.

Does this help?

My gmail addresses are gone....

First, you can check to see if the email information is stored in Firefox.

In the browser, go to: Tools > Options > Security > Saved Passwords

Then in the password dialog box, type "" in the search field. That will display a list of all google accounts which are saved in the browser. To display the passwords, click on the "Show passwords" button.

If the Gmail account information is not stored in Firefox, you can then try the Gmail password recovery pageL
