SOURCE: how do you load nails?

The staples are NOT loaded on top of the pull out shaft; they are inserted directly into the slot that opens when you pull the shaft out. If the nose of the tool is not placed firmly against a surface, it will not fire.

and click the PDF icon on the right of the model # to start the download.

Here is a step by step:
Unplug the tool.
Squeeze the end of the shaft at the rear bottom of the tool and pull out the shaft.
Flip the tool over on it’s back.
Insert the staples, (points up) and then slide the shaft back in.
Plug it in, press the on button (under the the power cord in the back). Press the nose squarely against the material and press the trigger
.

How do I load the stapler?

No you don't. We answer most things here.

If the stapler is like any of these

You push the back in slightly to unlatch it and then drop it down a bit and the staple pusher comes out completely.

I have a pro shot electric staple gun. Where can I buy the staples?

I have an excellent AEG staple gun. Although the AEG name still exists the nails and staples have been discontinued and the aftermarket that usually delights in producing such things haven't been interested because the nail design only fitted a limited number of machines.

In all other cases in my experience those manufacturers of nail and staple guns (that still exist) continue to produce ammunition for them and aftermarket specialist suppliers will have adequate stocks, the main problem being their information is often incomplete or out of date.
In lots of cases the required staples will have been bought in by the machine manufacturer but given a none-generic type or part number which the aftermarket supplier won't recognise.

If you don't have the generic staple type or part number then careful measuring is required to match drawings provided by specialist aftermarket suppliers of which there are a few in the UK and I expect every country will have a number.
In addition most builder's merchants or good ironmonger's will stock a supply of the most popular types.

There is a thumb release lever that keeps the slide bar locked down. Take your thumb and push up ******* this plastic release and it should open so that you can add staples.

Loading Staples or Nails

Make sure there are no staples or nails jammed from previous usage by checking the handle operation.

CAUTION: IF A STAPLE OR NAIL IS JAMMED, POINT THE GUN AWAY FROM

YOURSELF AND OTHERS BEFORE OPENING THE TRACK AS THE JAMMED

STAPLE OR NAIL MAY BE FIRED OUT UPON OPENING

i) Point the bottom of the gun away from you and turn gun sideways.

ii) Turn gun up, grip track release buttons and push away to release, then slide the track out, as shown (fig. 1).

iii) Insert a strip of staples in the chamber with the legs pointing up (fig.1a). If nails are required, turn gun upside

down and tilt the gun away from yourself and load on the right hand side (as indicated on graphics at the

staple and nail exit) with point facing upwards (fig.1b) THE GUN MAY JAM IF NAILS ARE INSERTED IN THE

WRONG SIDE.
*Arrow

iv) Slide staple or nail track back into closed position - a click indicates that it is locked in position.
Your staple and nail gun is now ready for use.

at the back of the staple gun is a clip you need to move this down from the lock position like a lever, the back will then slide out for placement of more staples, then slowly slide into place and place the clip back into lock position. hope this helps.

How to insert fasteners

Already posted in response to a similair question, however repeated here to close off open query!

I bought one of these guns today and I had the same problem and it took me about 2 hours to figure it out as the instructions were very poor. Here how to load the brad nails:-

(a) Pull the slider bar all the way out
(b) Place the brad nail stick on the left side, IN FRONT OF the slider, NOT in the narrow gap in front of the two arrows where it says "LOAD BRADS"
(c) The nail heads should be facing the handle of the gun
(d) Close the slider and lock it
(e) Try it out. I tried nailing hardboard onto chipboard. The lever at low power only put the nail in about 30%. On Hi power it went in about 80%.

Good Luck
Peter
