Question about Nikon Coolpix P600 Black Digital Camera 16.1 MP, 60x Opt, SD/SDHC/SDXC Card Slot
I had the same issue on my P600. I read somewhere to turn the mode selector knob back and forth several times. I did it and my camera is not changing modes by itself no more. Try it, and please reply.

It appears there is a good chance you have a hardware problem with your camera, but in the chance it is software the first step would be to make sure the battery is freshly charged, then set your options to Factory Default. Try the camera and see if the trouble is cleared. If the trouble is hardware it will take further troubleshooting and I will need you try a few more things to see if I can help you.

Nikon Coolpix s3 powers on OK when switch is on auto mode, but when switched to "Scene" mode cannot shoot, switch back to auto mode / movie mode, or turn off. If power is turn on when switch is in "Movie" mode, everything is OK. Help!
