Hi Richard. Thers a good chance you have mail preferences setup to compose new emails in "plain text". And/Or, "Use the same message format as the original message", meaning if you reply to someone who sent you an email that is in Rich Text Format, then your reply will be in Rich Text Format but, if they send you an email in Plain Text Format, then your reply, and possibly any forwarding will be sent in Plain Text also.

For website addresses to be "clickable links" in mail, you need to ensure all emails you send, forward, or reply are in Rich Text Format.
go to Mail... Preferences... then select the Composing tab and ensure Message Format is set to "Rich Text".
Further below in the same tab you will see "Responding" and a tick box for Use the same message format as the original message (Respond using Rich or Plain Text).
If you always want to respond or forward in Rich Text only and every time, then deselect that option.
All links should work and be clickable from then onwards.

You can highlight a non working website link in the email body, right click, then select "Link" then "Add Link" to make it clickable but, you will receive a notification about converting this message to rich text format?"

Basically, the links will not be clickable if you are setup to compose new emails in Plain Text. Nor will any replies or forwards you send that are changing to Plain Text to match the format received by you from others.
Always end, reply and forward in Rich Text Format

Hope that helps.
Regards
Paul

SOURCE: Music files.

First you should compress the file, most email clients like yahoo and gmail have a file transfer limitation. You want to make sure the file is an mp3 ( unless quality is needed, like a voice over or professional recording proof..then you should consider FTP ) drag the file onto your desktop from the Music/ITunes/ITunes Music onto your desktop, or you can drag it right out of the ITunes player.

Then locate your CONTROL key. It should be 3 keys to the left of the space bar. CTRL. You want to press the ctrl key while you click on it-if you're on a desktop or using a double click mouse, then RIGHT click on it. Both will bring up a small menu from which you should see CREATE ARCHIVE OF "FILE NAME.MP3" What this does, is creates a "zip" file or a compress archive of the file. You then make that item and attachment in your email, therefore having it on your desktop will make it easy to find. When your'e done, delete the archive file, your original in your MUSIC folder will not be affected.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: SUDDENLY LOST MOST OF MY EMAIL CONTACTS ON BOTH MY COMPUTERS

Hi, it seems like you are using IMAP protocol for your mail settings. The good thing about IMAP is that you can see the same emails listing for your imac, and your macbook. The bad thing about IMAP is that when you accidentaly delete emails on whatever computer, the others won't see them either.
Please check in Mail's trash folders for all your computers, and check if the mails were not simply moved to another folder

SOURCE: Email hijacked

This is indeed unique to just Facebook. Facebook has a number of privacy settings that you can change to make it less likely that you will have your security compromised in the future.
Your first step would be to immediately change your password.
After that, I very strongly recommend using the following easy-to-use webpage to scan your privacy settings and change them using the on screen instructions to be as secure as possible.

This has nothing to do with the photo, you try to send. Just log in again to your mail and ask to remember the password on the mac.

HI I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON 6400 AND WHEN I SEND ATTACHMENTS ON EMAIL TO A MAC USER THEY CANT OPEN THE FILES WHY,

It depends. If you are sending a microsoft office file (i.e. word, excel etc...) and they do not have office for Mac, they won't be able to open it. Make sure your friend has the correct software to open the file. Your friend can also try to open in google documents. They have a very large range of file extension options.
Let me know if this doesn't help and include what type of doc and what software you're using in your response.
Cheers!

I recorded a video and am unable to send it via email. When I click email button, nothing happens. My default is yahoo. Also I tried to load on youtube but it says that the loading failed.

Hi swanextreme,

First off, what program did you record your video onto your computer with? If it's a .mov or .avi, or etc, etc. depending on your email program they may have securities set not to be able to send those files. ZIP it up first then try to send it. In regards to youtube, they require a certain type of file. Again, it relates to what you used to transport the movie to your computer. Can you play the movie on your computer? If so, maybe you can encode it as something more youtube friendly, like a swf, or avi file.

Good Luck

Unable to receive emails from certain contacts

I'm assuming that "send" should be "receive" because you most definitely can send attachments from a Hotmail account, no matter what type, as we'll see in a second.
There are two solutions, neither of them pretty:
  1. Have the sender send the attachment again, with a different name, or as a compressed file. ".zip" files are fine. ".exe" files are not. So if your sender creates a .zip archive of the .exe file that he's trying to send you, that you can save, and then decompress back into it's original form and name.
Heck, just renaming the file is enough. Have the sender rename the .exe file into a .txt file and send that as an attachment. You'll be able to download it, and then rename it back to a .exe.
  2. Forward the attachment to a non-Hotmail account. Hotmail doesn't mention this approach, but sure enough, even though you can't open the unsupported attachments, you can forward them to a different account on a different service. If that service allows you to open the attachment, you've got it.
Hotmail's goal here is, obviously, to make it difficult to open malware in attachments by accident. You have to take steps of some sort; you have to think about it.
If you go through those steps, and you still get infected? Well, it was your own doing.
