Question about GE Adora Front Load Washing Machine Washer Pressure Switch Wh12x10307

1 Answer

My GE Adora does not call for water.

Several years ago I had the trap problem. It was funny reading about all the other posts. I have actually left one screw out so that I can fix the trap issue periodically. That's not the problem now: As of last week, my machine stopped calling for water. There are no error messages, and the time goes as usual (59 minutes for a color load on warm), BUT the water never enters the machine. Anyone experience this before?

Its either the water intake solinoid's coil has gone open circuit or the control circuit usually A 1 AMP triac on the controller board has developed a fault simply take the top off and check using a multimeter set to AC 300v etc and when running you can check at the solinoid for power supply to it
if there is supply and no water ?? does it click if it clicks isolate the water and take the feed to the machine off at the machine and inside the intake youll see a small filter you can pull this out for cleaning using some flat nose box plyers
if it doesnt click then its gubbed and the coil has developed shorted turns then gone open circuit {quite common}

Yep, it was the solenoid (both of them).

SOURCE: GE Profile Harmony dryer error message

PCB is probably the printed circuit board. you'll need the model# off the dryer (not from the manual), then go to GE's website to get an idea of the cost ($150-200). It's located under the control panel of the dryer. GE calls it 'PWR/PCB ASM-MAIN'.
Is the dryer still under warranty?

SOURCE: my dryer is not as hot and taking much longer to

Three main possibilities:

Either lint is clogging the airflow or a fuse is popped from overheating, or the heating element is broken..

You have to open up and clean out no matter what.

Unplug the unit.
Remove the lint screen and the two screws at the lint slide.
Use a putty knife to release and pry up the clips which hold down the top cover, tilt up the top cover.
Remove the two screws near the top which secure the front cover, tilt out and lift off of the two clips at bottom.
Release the belt tensioner and remove the drum.
Now you can completely vacuum out the entire cabinet. I know some persons who take a pressure washer to it (the motor seems to tolerate the wet treatment).
Remove the rear cover by removing the screws.
On the left (as you look at the rear) you will see a duct leading to the lint screen. Remove the screws and wiring harness (mark the wires). Lift it away and you will see the blower fan. It is invariably loaded with crud, coins, paperclips etc. Clean it out. If you must remove it turn it clockwise as a wrench holds the motor shaft stationary (there is a flat spot near the belt pulley).
Check the heating element. It should not be broken and read "closed" on an ohmmeter.
Clean all and reassemble after you have replaced any fuses.

Fuses should read "closed" or zero ohms. Some person test for bad fuses by temporarily connecting the two wires and then running the unit. If it only gets hot when you do this you should DEFINITELY replace the fuse.

Sounds like the water inlet valve isn't working. Check your house water pressure and make sure it's not above 80 psi. If it isn't, then call a repair company that handles GE warranty work.

  1. If the drain water is overflowing the standpipe then you have a problem with the house drain not the washer. You need to clean out the house drain or call aplumber to do it for you.

Ge adora dishwasher water won't fill

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with check the water inlet valve which is located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side of the Dishwasher. If the water inlet valve is bad you have to replace it, also check the main water line for clogs/obstructions. If still the issue is not resolved then it’s a bad float switch and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Having the same problem as everyone else , I make a habit of cleaning the filter once a month. I would like to advise people that if your load is heavy (such as scatter rugs) they will not spin out completely even when the filter is cleaned. No more GE for me!!

Funnyust scandal

I have found several sites that refer to the same tool (remover.zip) which can be found here (amongst other sites):

http://conradmiguel.com/funny-ust-scandal

I do not have the "virus" and am not willing to open the zip file (just in case I am actually downloading a Trojan).

Give it a try. It seems from some of the other posts that I read that not even reformatting the hard drive will get rid of it. I had this same problem with the Dyfuca "virus" a few years ago and had to Zero the hard drive to start again (this removes everything from the hard drive including the boot sector - makes the hard drive like one just bought from the shop).

Good luck.

This one is a known issue and an easy fix. Use a tie wrap to securely tie the water tube for the middle spray to the upper basket. That's it. Believe it or not, it's that simple. You may want to secure it at the front and the back. To test this you can use the tie wraps used to closed the plastic grocery or bread bags. If this solves the problem you can buy a bag of nylon tie wraps from any hardware store. I had a similar problem with another GE model with a similar problem. The dishwahser used to make a horrible grinding noise during the wash cycle. One I secured the middle sprayer arm the grinding noise went away.
