Most common repair is one or two open fuses in power supply
and bad convergence Ic's = expensive repair.........Also, have
the tech check for coolant leakage from CRT's...........T.

A 22 code in Mitsubishi is a short circuit that is causing your set to go into protective shut down. Check the horizontal output and low voltage regulators for being shorted. Let me know if I can help you further, or if you need any additional info.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi Projection TV Model #VS-50603 will not turn on.

The TV is going into a "protect mode", the micro-processor has sensed a circuitry problem and has shut the set down so that no furhter damage can happen, you will need to have the TV serviced by a Mitsubishi tech. Good luck !

On the middle board there are three green ceramic pico fuses
12_31_2011_7_11_11_pm.pngIf you know how to test them, then test them. If not, then just replace them. They are something like 5 for a dollar. They protect the image side of your TV from the power side. Some people have trouble with the capacitors, but I have never seen it happen. Chances are that you can fix it for a dollar.

I have problem with remote control, my remote control gives me blue light to switch the dashboard on but there is no lights coming on the dashboard. what is the problem

Hi, your remote has probably lost its coding. If you have the owners manual check page 65 learning additional remotes. If not do the following 1. Plug in the 6 pin hopped coded plug to control unit under drivers seat. 2. Press unlock button twice to disarm. 3. Press learn button on hopped coded plug. this erases all pre learnt codes. The led on dash should start blinking once per sec. 4. Press learn button on hopped coded plug again. The led on dash remains on for 4 sec. and then starts blinking faster. Ensure to do step 5 within 25 sec. 5. Press any button thrice on your remote that has a problem. 6. In response led on dash remains on for 4 sec and then blinks once per sec. This indicates that the remote has been learnt. Hope this helps.

Resetting service indicator

1) Make sure ignition is off
2) push & hold in left button (daytrip reset)
3) while holding in, turn ignition key into pos.1
4) keep holding button pushed in while "Test 1" appears in display
5) after a further approx. 5 seconds oil service inspection will appear (whichever is due)
6) release button when oil service/inspection are displayed

Tv truns on then turns off

if model indicated do the self check it has:

On front of set when green light for power goes out press and hold both the menu and input (source) buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat it for a total of 5 times.

If set has been unplugged you must plug it back and try to get set to turn on--unplugging clears the errors.

Let me know what error you find and I will tell you what it means.

TV won't turn on.

Do the self check this set has:

when the power light goes off---on the front of the set press and hold both the MENU and INPUT (or Device) buttons for 5 seconds and then release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code--most common is 2 blinks a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code several times.

Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means.

2,2 is most common and the most easy to fix.

I have a 2001 Accord and if I hit the unlock button and do not open any door within a certain amount of time (2-5 minutes) it automatically re-locks it. Is there a setting I can change to prevent this...

Hi there,

Hope the following procedures helps.

TRANSMITTER TEST

NOTE:

If the doors unlock or lock with the transmitter, but the LED on the transmitter does not come on, the LED is faulty; replace the transmitter.

If any door is open, you cannot lock or unlock the door with the transmitter.

If you unlocked the doors with the transmitter, but do not open any of the doors within 30 seconds, the doors relock automatically. ?

The doors do not lock or unlock with the transmitter if the ignition key is inserted in the ignition switch.

1. Press the lock or unlock button 5 or 6 times to reset the transmitter.

If the locks work, the transmitter is OK.

If the locks don't work, go to step 2.

2. Open the transmitter and check for water damage.

If you find any water damage, replace the transmitter.

If there is no water damage, go to step 3.

3. Replace the transmitter battery (A) with a new one, and try to lock and unlock the doors with the transmitter by pressing the lock or unlock button 5 or 6 times.

If the doors lock and unlock, the transmitter is OK.

If the doors don't lock and unlock, go to step 4.

NOTE: The transmitters for LX models and EX models are different and are not interchangeable.

4. Reprogram the transmitter, then try to lock and unlock the doors (see Transmitter Programming ).

If the doors lock and unlock, the transmitter is OK.

If the doors don't lock and unlock, replace the transmitter.

TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING

Storing transmitter codes:

The codes of up to three transmitters can be read into the keyless receiver unit memory. (If a fourth code is stored, the code which was input first will be erased.)

NOTE: It is important to maintain the time limits between the steps.

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

2. Within 1 to 4 sec., push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver unit behind the glove box.

3. Within 1 to 4 sec., turn the ignition switch OFF.

7. Within 4 sec., turn the ignition switch ON (II).

8. Within 1 to 4 sec., push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver unit behind the glove box.

9. Within 1 to 4 sec., turn the ignition switch OFF.

10. Within 4 sec., turn the ignition switch ON (II).

11. Within 1 to 4 sec., push the transmitter lock or unlock button with the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver unit behind the glove box.

12. Confirm you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators. Within 1 to 4 sec., push the transmitter lock or unlock button again.

13. Within 15 sec., aim the remaining transmitters at the keyless receiver unit (up to two additional ones) whose codes you want to store at the receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons. Confirm that you can hear the sound of the door lock actuators after each transmitter code is stored.

14. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and pull out the key.

15. Confirm proper operation of the transmitters.

Cheers!

Tv does not stay on.

Your most likely having a problem with your power supply. I would say check the capacitors for obvious signs of swelling and all fuses first. Next I would check your low voltage regulators.Have you tried pushing the menu and imput buttons together and holding them for 5 seconds to access the self diagnosis feature? If you cant initiate the self diagnosis feature its probaly the capacitors or Regulators.
