SOURCE: iphone 8G forgotten password to unlock phone

The only way to bypass it is to put it into recovery mode. You can do this by turning it off and then holding the home button down then plugging it into the computer with itunes. The one you sync with. The phone will be in recovery mode, start iTunes and then you will be prompted to restore your phone. If you need further assistance, please ask.

SOURCE: forgot my 8 digit password phone lock code. Is

The only way to get into a phone that you've lost the password to is to completely reset it, wiping out all of the data on it in the process.

You can check with your provider and see if they might have a built in solution for forgotten passwords, but typically you'll need to wipe out the phone and start over.

What would make a galaxy j7 lock up, or do a factory re-set on its own? I'm not able to find someone that knows how to fix it. my e-mail address is Wenharry25

Hello Wendy

Please don't post your personal details to Fixya. We are a site that has 7 million views a years and some of those 7 million are bound to be either crazy enough to phone you at 3:00am or clever enough to be able to scam you.

Nothing can make a phone do a reset on its own. Is it stolen? The original owner can do a factory reset remotely. You say 'locked up', does it mention a PUK Lock, or a SIM Lock? If so, it definitely is stolen, and the company that have the contract on the phone have locked it at firmware level to stop anyone from using it. It uses a 128 bit encryption key so is impossible to unlock without the 6 digit code.

I have change the category from LA Galaxy Football Club, to Samsung Galaxy Cellphones :>)

NOKIA PHONE-LOCK RESET Q. What is a Phone Lock? Answer: From Nokia's...

NOKIA PHONE-LOCK RESET

Q. What is a Phone Lock?

Answer: From Nokia's webpage:

"The Phone Lock prevents your phone data from being accessed if

Your phone is stolen.

"The lock code is a number that prevents unauthorized persons from

Using your phone. These control codes are for your protection."

What is THE-NOKIA-UNLOCK:

The program exploits a design flaw in the nokia mobile phones to remove

The Phone Lock protection.

The program was tested on Nokia 6630 and Nokia 6680. The program

Should work on any other Symbian based mobile phones (including Sony

Ericson and all modern nokia phones and many others).

This tool does not remove the sim-lock.

How to use:

You need two mobile phones.

1) Do _not_ turn off the mobile phone!

2) Remove the Memory Card (MMC) from the locked phone and put it into a

second mobile. Install FExplorer on the second mobile phone. Create

the directory E:SystemRecogs and copy the-nokia-unlock.mdl into

this directory.

3) Remove the Memory Card and place it into the locked phone.

The THE-NOKIA-UNLOCK program should start after 120 seconds.

4) Remove the battery. Remove the MMC. Put the battery back and restart.

The Phone Lock has been reset to "12345".

Why does this work?

The Phone Lock disables the key pad, Bluetooth and the USB port. This

makes it impossible to access the data stored on the device without

knowing the correct code.

Nevertheless the MMC is not disabled. Nokia's OS has a lot of undocumented

features. One of them are 'recognizer' that can be used to execute a

program when the phone boots.

A recognizer is loaded and executed when a drive is mounted. The MMC

is mounted when it is placed into the mobile phone _even_ when the phone

is locked.

THE-NOKIA-UNLOCK is a recognizer that implementes yet another undocumented

feature to perform a hard reset (by software) on the phone.

Note: The same recognizer-autostart method can be used to quickly install

a backdoor on a locked mobile phone or to propagate a virus: Get in, Get

Out, Get Away.

a factory reset is the only way to remove a consumer set lock code. If there was some magic way, there would be no point in locking a phone.

If it is asking for a PUK Code, that is a lock put on by the cellphone provider because it has been reported stolen or 10 attempts have been made to unlock. Only the carrier can unlock those. A Factory Reset will clear the phone, but the PUK Code is at firmware level and can't be defeated. Click on my name and check out my TIPS page for full info.

How to unlock draw pattern

You can't. A Factory Reset is the only way. If there was a way, there would be no point in having a lock.

It also protects people that have sensitive data on their phone, the only way to make the phone work after being lost or stolen is to scrub it clean. Usually after that, the service provider lock it with a PUK Code at firmware level, because they own the phone on an undischarged contract. If the person bought the phone outright, then no PUK Code.

You could ask John McAfee, as he is the only person to ever unlock a locked iPhone. He offered, the FBI said yes, he did it!

If the phone does belong to you, you will be offered the chance to Backup before the reformat.

Pls i want code to unlock my Cricket Nokia lumia Rm-977,630 With IMEI:35306**********. thanks hope to hear back soon.

Unlock as in Rooting it? Don't do it.

Unlocking as in a personally set passcode? Ask the owner, or do a Factory Reset.

Unlocking as in the SIM lock and it is asking for a PUK Code? Ask the carrier, they have locked the phone. Usually, because it has been stolen, the phone has a different SIM in it and it belongs to the former carrier under contract which is un-discharged.

Bought from a dishonest person,i have factory hard reset this phone 3 times.every time it gets to the google sign in screen it wont accept my username and password..HELP

When you factory reset a device that has a PIN code or a SWIPE code of some sort, the Google security lock will trigger after a factory reset. This is because the phone is assuming you factory reset it because you could not get into the phone (ie. it is not your phone / it is stolen).

At this point, you need to log into the phone with the Google account it was set up with. There are a couple of scenarios you may fall into at this point.

  1. If you know the e-mail, but you do not know the password, you have to reset the password (via the computer, etc). WARNING: If you reset the password, you cannot log into the phone for 72 hours (again this is a layer of security for stolen devices).
  2. If you have absolutely no idea what the e-mail is, Google is assuming you stole it / do not own it. At this point you either need to contact the manufacturer / the carrier to see if they can exchange it (assuming it is your device).

In your scenario, the only way around this is to contact the person you purchased it from, and ask him for his e-mail and password. Obviously, I understand there is a slim chance that he is going to provide you that information, but I can assure you, your login is not going to work and there is no way to bypass this.
