Question about Toro Garden

1 Answer

My Toro SS3200 will not start. No sound when key is turned. No sound when the drive arms are pushed into the parking brake position.

I tried to disengage the hydraulics so I could push it. I tucked them in per the diagram, but the wheels do not turn. I cannot push the darn thing.

If the main fuse is blown then your not going to get the electric brake to release and it will need to be manually released in order to move the mower even with transaxle place in neutral. Instruction are in the owners manual and if you don't have a copy you can download one from the Toro.com website using your mowers 5 digit model number.

Note: the fuses are located behind the control panel. If 30 amp main fuse or the 25 amp charging fuse is blown then the source of short needs to be found.

I have a 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback when I put the key into the ignition it wouldn't turn the ignition is stuck or locked up need fast solution that won't cost an arm & leg

Make sure the gear shift is fully in the parked position. This is known to prevent cars from engaging at start-up. Twist the steering wheel, push the gear fully into park, or neutral if manual, and make sure the emergency brake is engaged. If you find that it was not in the parked position all the way, it should start up. If the problem is that the key won't turn, try getting some graphite and following the manufacturer's directions.
I don't know a great deal about these new cars, but that's the way it was on older models, maybe those sorts of things don't change!

-Adjust the shift cable.

-Make sure parking brake is apply, block all wheels.
-Lose the shift cable connector at transmission control arm. Turn the arm to park position and push the shift handle to park, then tight it.

You should be good to go.

2005 ford explorer gear shift stuck in park

Check to see if your brake lights are working. If not, you have a blown fuse for the brake lights or a bad brake light switch on the brake pedal arm bracket.
When you turn the key to ON, a solenoid energizess and lock the sihft interlock. When you step on the brake to shift out of park, It de-energizes the relay so you can move the sift lever. You should hear a click noise with they key in ON position and you step on the brake pedal. TRy this witohout starting the engine & listen.
The bypass emergency procedure is in your owner manual under sift interlock in the index.
But, usually you turn the key to OFF (first click) and then step on the brake & shift out of park. Then start car in neutral and drive away.
It works because you did not energize the shift lock solenoid, by not turning key to ON.

report results and please rate, thanks.

Also, check the wire going to the brake switch under the dash. It may have just come off.

My tractor is doing the exact same thing now. Did you ever get this problem figured out? I figure it to be a grounding problem, a short, or this "kill relay" problem.

1997 Lincoln Towncar. Shifter stuck in park

There is a switch mounted on the arm of the brake pedal (under a plastic cover held on with 3 plastic push-pins). There is an electical connection attached to this switch. In my case one of the wires had broken and was not supplying electricity to the switch. By fixing the broken wire it allowed the shifter to properly move and got the brake lights working again.

Key stuck in accessory position

sounds like shifter or brake sensor is not working. Try holding brake peddle down while turning key. Also try turning steering wheel a little.
