Greetings! Did you ever find a replacement remote? I just bought a Slim-1400 at a thrift store but it lacks the remote. I've been searching for quite a while without any luck. If you had success, can you let me know at RSutherland@USA.net?
Hi, the AC adapter connects through a wire that hangs out of one of the legs. You can see the complete instructions, including a diagram, in the owner's manual, which you can download from Fisher Price:
For Fisher SLIM 1500SL model, I figured it out as below.
1/-Plug into AC & you will see Standby ON with AM 12:00.
2/-Press Timer button & you will see TIMER at left top corner.
3/-Press and hold Standby button until entire screen is ON & Standby goes OFF. Everything will go from here- play CD, radio, etc.
Check the Fisher Price website for an instruction manual. My daughter has one and when you plug it in and the red light is blinking that means the battery is charging. It has a battery pack inside (not removeable) that needs to be charged for 8 hours before the first use, but I'm guessing yours is used, so just let it charge until the light goes off.
with the unit turned off press memory once and the hour digits flash.
Press the cd ship |<< or >>| buttons to adjust the hour.
Press memory again and the minute digits flash
Press the cd ship |<< or >>| buttons to adjust the minutes
press memory once more. the display stops flashing and the clock has been set.
