These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

That's what I stated here. The blinks to its red indicator itself. These blinks are fault code.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Although a capacitor may look good, it may be weak or bad. Here is what you will have to do. Replace capacitor (location) 2074 which is a 25 volt 2200Mf at 105 degrees. Replace capacitor (location) 2081 which is a 35 volt 1200 Mf at 105 degrees. And you should change capacitor 2066 which is a 16 volt 10Mf at 105 degrees. Please be careful with the last cap mentioned. You can easily tear the PCB trace if you are not extremely careful. This should bring your TV back to life. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Proscan 39 inch led tv lost the picture

If only the picture is out, and audio is normal, the fault is with its back-light inverter board. If both picture and sound is absent, and the standby light is ON, the fault is with its main board. If set is fully dead; even there is no standby light at all; the fault is with its main power regulator [SMPS] board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Same issue here. I'm debating to send it back as most specs are pointing to the A-B model as being 60Hz. I can't really tell of it's pushing 120 or 60 (ignoring the fact that the screen says 60Hz.) It almost "feels" like it's 120 but can't say for sure. Can anyone please confirm that the "A-B" version is indeed 120 or not? Thanks!
