SOURCE: I have recently been given a Powershot 8000

With the staple exit facing toward you (don't squeeze the handle), find the small black square at the bottom (opposite end) from staple exit. Grasp both sides. Pull away from gun (not down). Chamber will open.

Bought a "mont marte" handstapler and cannot find staples! 11.3 mm wide - 8 mm long and 1.2 mm fat! The last measurment is important, slimmer staples eject in two or threes in a twist! Can you help me?...

This is a stapler primarily for upholstering applications. Try inquiring at your local fabrics store or upholstering supply dealer. They may carry the staples. Unlikely you would find these at a hardware store but you could still try Lowes or Home Depot.

Is there a depth adjustment r tension adjustment

As far as I can tell this unit does not have an adjustment. Normally such an adjustment would only be included on much more expensive and specialised units generally listed for professional use.
If you need more pressure then hitting the tack with a hammer is the general answer.
If you need less pressure, i.e. the tack is cutting through the insulation/wire you are tacking then a cushion may help.
Suggestions for cushion material include one or more layers of paper or a thin (e.g. 3mm) piece of neoprene foam. After tacking the wire in place the foam/paper can be removed almost completely to produce the desired result - a tacked wire with no damage.
Hope this helps. For more power I favour the Stanley PowerShot series: they are absolute brutes and shoot most variations of staples, tacks and nails.

Problem loading gun..Where do we put in the staples and change the dial to accomodate it? fred

The staples should load in through the end of the hammer stapler. The end is spring loaded to push the staples forward, so push the end - usually a crome square - into the handle end then move that part up approximately 1/4 inch and pull back. The spring mechanism should slide out so you can add new staples. These staplers take a specific size of staple and a certain number to allow you to put the spring mechanism back into the stapler. If you do not know the correct size for your stapler someone at your local hardware store can help you find the correct size and they will probably even show you how to load it. Good luck!

Compare staple guns

A hammer tacker is a device somewhat similar to a staple gun, except that the mechanical energy from the user's muscles is stored — as in a hammer — as momentum of the gun itself, rather than as compression of an internal spring. This type of stapler is typically used for insulation, roofing and carpeting.
