If you can open it up, unplug it first. Check the wires that go to knob or button that adjusts heat.

I have a bissell pro heat carpet cleaner. It is model 25a3 and about 1 year old. no water comes out when I press the trigger to clean the floor. The tools attachment works fine, any ideas?

If you are getting water from the tool. But not at the floor the most likely problem is the heater is clogged with coagulated soap or minerals. You will need to separate the upper handle to get to the heater. Insure the machine is unplugged. Remove the cover from the heater making sure you don't lose the little gaskets on each screw. Clean the channels inside the heater and put the cover back on. Be aware of how you are Taking it apart so you will know how to reassemble it.

Crane convection heater won't come on

This seems to be a common problem among owners of this heater. The power light is on, but the fan nor heat will work.
I will post what I did to fix it, in case you are desperate for heat or something, but I don't recommend doing this and I'm not responsible for any loss you incur... bla bla dangerous bla bla you get the idea.
Take off the black side panel (not the side with the timer). It easily comes off by taking out the little screw around the edge. Inside you will see the heater bar with all the little heat-fingers sticking out of it. Towards the right you will see a little fuse thingy with a power connection behind right side. This fuse is blown. You can jumper past it or carefully pull that power connection off and unwind it a bit for extra slack and bring it to the OTHER side of the fuse where there is an available male terminal that just happens to be waiting there for you. While you are there, make sure all the heater fingers are separated nicely and free of dust-balls and stuff. Make sure the wires are secured away from the heat bar, and put the black panel back on. Yay it works again.

95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A/C only blows heat. Dealer mechanic says something broken in dash and very costly to fix--not worth the money on old vehicle. If clamp heater/radiator hose, can get partial AC,...

Put an small brass butterfly valve in the heater line, on both sides. That will turn it off for the summer, and you can turn it on for winter. Alternatively, you could try and do like I'm doing on my '59 Chevy, when I get it out of the flood plain, and route ice water through the heater core.

I have a Lennox 80MGF3/4-100A-1 forced air gas heater and the pilot light isn't lighting automatically as it is supposed to. Can I light it manually?

NO, they are not like the old ones that sometimes you had to relight on a windy night.. there is not a gas pressure control lever and too many safety switches will keep things from happening. and the induced draft blower motor would be like starting a fire in a wind tunnel. even if lit. it would extinguish it's self at the end of the heat cycle and put you right back with no flame. i miss old tech!! so easy to fix. and keep it going. are the heating wires getting red hot! those hot wires are what ignite the fast flowing gas.

I have a 3000btu dnya glo unvented gas fied room

I'm not familiar with these heaters but I assume there is button or something you push to get the pilot to light. There will be air in the pipe between where the gas comes in and the pilot light. You have to give it enough time for the gas to push this air out of the line. Hope this helps.

Heat come through onl on passenger side

Look for a hole or opening in the fire wall from under the hood.
Wire harnesses, AC lines and heater hoses usually have a grommet that closes off the air leak where they come into the passenger compartment. One may have rotted or simply pulled out. If pulled out, work it back in.
If you can get under the dash with the seat pushed all the way back, you can put a drop light under the hood, get under the dash and look for the light coming in. If you see anything.....PLUG IT!! :-)

Blinking Clean light in Whirpool dishwasher

Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). Control blinks the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until cleared. Running Diagnostics clears the control and allows it to operate again. The water heating problem must be fixed or the control will stop running again. See potential causes below. Heater circuit problem: ■ Open in heater. ■ Open connection or component in heater circuit. ■ Faulty heater drive circuit on control. 1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle. 2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power. 3. Check resistance of heater and all components and connections in the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit.
