First, I would make sure that the latest drivers for the video card are installed. If the video card is from a major manufacturer, then Windows Update might even provide them. Next, try booting the CPU into Safe Mode (hitting F8 when the computer first boots). Does the video display now? It may appear very large, as the resolution is turned down to the lowest settings. If the video appears correctly in safe mode, then the resolution settings may just need to be turned down in normal mode. The monitor may not be able to handle the video card if the settings are not compatible. Once you can boot back into normal mode, right click on the Desktop and select Properties. Then go to the Settings Tab. From here, turn down the resolution all the way. Then reboot. Does everything appear normally after reboot? If so, then turn up the resolution another notch. Keep repeating this process until you find a setting that the monitor can't handle, and then turn it back down one notch from there.

look for audio out in the external tv tuner. connect your speakers to it.
