Do you have a copy of the manual i can download? Is there a way to tighten up the depth setting? it vibrates loose and loses it's depth when running.

Jerry, You haven't said what brand or model of router you have, so I can't help you with the manual. But I have had the problem you describe with a Craftsman router that I used to use. I was able to reduce the problem by replacing the bolt and wing-nut with a bolt and nut that I could tighten using a wrench rather than just my fingers. I also added a lock washer under the nut and another one under the head of the bolt too. Like I said, this is a router I used to use. I use a Porter Cable router now, which is much better.
Good luck, Al K

Snow blower won't stay running

ok heres what you do to get your snow blower to keep running.
while you have it choked, and you get it to the running point, turn the cup bowl ajustment in/out a fraction at a time while you move the chock off slowly till you get the right setting to keep it running then ajust the setting once more to clear it up to purrr like a kitten again the vibration moves the screw out to set everything out of wack......

Manual Craftman professional router table model

I have a Craftsman professional router table, laminated model 26608. I can not find a parts manual for this item. I tried a number of way to find parts for this item. I believe this was made by Bosch. I can not purchase a Router table mounting plate for this item. it measures 7" x 8". with a center hole of 3". also 3" insert rings. Bosch and Sears makes items for a professional router but the center hole is 3 3/4 inches and the plate is a lot larger in width and length. I have gone to Bosch on the internet and came up with a model RA1171. This is a model like the one I purchased; however, they have changed the size of the adapter plate and the center rings. the model no. they show is 29LCN1428.

Loosen the chain enough that you can remove it from the pulley on top of the motor unit. Now with the door closed run the motor until the pulley turns in the clockwise direction and stops. Put the chain back on the pulley and tighten. You may have to tweak the up and down limits now.

Cannot remove the fixed base

Are you sure the lock nuts haven't loosened and worked their way down the threaded rod to tighten the router down into it's plunged position? That's a really common thing to happen with plunge routers, but without a model number I can't give you any certain advice.
Try breaking those two nuts loose and spinning them back up the stud and see if that doesn't do it.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
