Question about Motovox MVS10 43cc 2 Hp 2-Stroke Gas-Powered Stand-Up Scooter

1 Answer

I have a motovox mvs10 43cc 2hp gas powered scooter and was wondering if there is suppose to be plastic like components in fuel tank and what are reasons that could cause it not to start.

I have recently replaced the pull starter and added fresh mixed fuel.

Often the is a fuel filter in the tank at the end of the fuel line, if it has deteriorted then yes it could stop it from starting due to a clog in the carb. If ou have good spark then sprat a few puffs of starter fluid into air intake or on the air cleaner ( which should be clean ) . if it starts for a second or two then it's most likely your carb.

I need a new high pressure line that goesfrom the compresser to the tank where do i go`?

What you are looking for is called an unloader tube. I have used cooper water line for a refrigerator ice maker to replace the plastic. Its a little hard to work with because it is not as flexable as the plastic stuff, but it works the same and is not as likely to were out as fast. You can get the cooper line from any hardware store.

The Craftsman Sim-Pul string trimmer starts and runs for one sec.

The larger line is the fuel return line from the purge bulb and should have the nylon connector (funnel thing) on it holding it in place inside the tank so the line won't pull out.The smaller diameter fuel tank line goes from the tank to the lower pipe fitting on the carburetor (fuel intake line). This line has a weighted fuel filter inside the tank on it.
New fuel lines are recommended every so often as the ethanol added to our gas nowadays wreaks havoc on the lines and carburetor as well. Get new lines...cut them long....feed them thru holes in fuel tank...grab with tweezers or needle-nose pliars....put on either the fuel filter or the nylon retaining nipple and pull the one with nipple down to bottom of tank...one with fuel filter can stay long to help draw fuel in the tank (yes, it moves around and is supposed to).

Fuel Starvation on 2006 200cc Vespa. Toward end

It's quite easy to get the tank out.
Remove the 4 bolts (2 front and 3 back) on top of the tank under the seat. You can lift the tank out.
replacing the fuel tap is a bit harder as you need to loosen a nut inside the tank, then pull the tap out.

You may need to adjust the fuel/air ratio. There is a small screw under the pull starter facing horizontally (its behind the plastic air filter cover, but accessable) adjust either clockwise or counter clockwise in small increments and give it gas and see if it dies or boggs down. Also check that spark plug is clean and not fouled, and air filter is clean and olied.
