Flash code

It's a fail safe to save other board inside your set from stray voltage. The error LED code says your PSB Power Supply board has some blown capacitors on it. First try a hard reset by unplugging the set for 4-6 hours. If that doesn't work you need to remove the pack panel and look for the Blown caps on the PSB. Caps should be completely flat (X) top view. Not puffed or bulged. Radio shack harbor freight for a soldering kit with flux and some new thru-hole caps about 2v above your current cap rating. Get them too big and you risk them exploding and they are hard to seat.

Steady Red light

Try to hard reset it. Unplug it from the power strip for about 4-6 hours and try to turn it back on. If you get BSOD-Black screen of death again and LED blinking then you need to replace the blown caps on the power supply board (PSB) Radio shack or harbor freight tools to get a solder kit w/ flux and about a dozen new thru- hold caps 2v above the current ones on the board. There is also refurbed PSB's on shopjimmy partsstore and ebay. To gain access to the PSB you need to remove the back panel. The PSB with be Printed on the Board Power Supply and the REV number (part number) will also be printed on the board. Disconnect the wire harness and ribbon cables if any and a few screws to pull the board out for repair or replacement. The board only goes in one way. Number the wire harness or take pics to you now which wires go where when you go to replace the board back in the set. Make sure you do this with the TV unplugged...

Tv cuts off

It's a fail safe. You set is shutting itself off due to wandering current from Blown capacitors on the PSB power Supply board. Replace the blown caps on the PSB or get a refurbed board from shopjimmy ebay or parstore. If you want to do the easy repair yourself get a soldering kit with flux from radio shack or harbor freight. Also get about a dozen thru-hole caps about 2v abouve the current load. They wull be UF caps and a bad cap will be bulged or puffed at the top. They should be completely flat. (X) Cap top view. Unscrew and pull off the back panel. Look for the PSB it will be printed Power Supply PSB on the board and the REV number (part number) will also be printed on the board for replacement. Make sure you unplug the tv completely when doing this. Disconnect the wire harness/ribbon cables and a few screws to pop the board out. Take pics or label the wires/cables so you know where to plug them back in when replacement or repair is done.

I have a pioneer pdp4340 the standby light flashes 3 times then repeats over and over after you power up . then it shuts down . i was told it was the x card . by a pioneer thec where is this card located...

Tv is going into fault protection mode at startup. When set turns on relay clicks then turns off with NO OSD-On screen Display and a blinking fault LED. This in indicitive of blown UF capacitors on the PSB-Power Supply Board. On an opened set the PSB is located in the center. You want to look for 2 or more UF Caps on the PSB. A bad Cap will be completely poped or bulding at the top (X) which shold be flat. THe X-main Board is to your right the YSUS Main is to your left

It just turned off by it self and it wont turn on

TV is in fault protection mode. If the TV relay clicks on then off and the Fault LED starts blinking. You have bad/blown capacitors on the PSB-Power supply board. Recaping the blown UF caps works 90% of the time.

50 " Phillips Plasma tv. Screen is black, blinking red light.

Sounds more like blown/exploding capacitors on the PSB-Power Supply board. No OSD-on screen display a blinking led or chatter/relay clikcing at startup is the tv going into fault protection and bypassing the startup pins. The YSUS-Main controls the pic which is attached to 2 buffer boards the YBU-upper YBL-Lower. They control the upper and lower portion of the OSD and the YSUS controls both of them. Since you're getting No OSD you need to check for blown caps on the PSB first. Unplugging the set resets the error again. So you start all over again.
