Question about Heating & Cooling
I have a Nordyne E1EH-012HA Furnace. When switched to Auto and Heat, you can hear it click but the heat never comes on. If it is switched over to On and Heat, the heat will kick on. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks
A sequencer is bad. When you give the furnace a call for heat it sends power to the sequencer which turns the fan on then a bank of heater and then another bank. So the sequencer is not turning on the fan with the heaters. When you put the fan In the ON position you bypass the sequencer and the fan comes on along with the heat strips. So you will have heat. The other way since there is no fan to keep the heating elements cooled off it trips the limit which keeps the heaters from burning out and then you don't have any heat.

If the fan runs in the ON setting then you have a bad fan relay for the heat mode.
Did you install the t-stat before or after the problem?
If after, you have a bad fan relay.

Intertherm does not offer a wiring diagram for the E1 series anymore. So I have included a link to the E2 series. They are very similar and you may find this service manual helpful for whatever problem you may be having.
