The tv turns on and stays on the hisense screen is it broken??

It is sort of broken. See if you can manually reset the unit to conditions when brand new in box. Try unplugging unit. then push in and hold the power button for about a minute. then reconnect to power and turn on. If it still does the same, , the main board is at fault.

My son knocked my hisense 42 inch tv over and now the picture looks shattered, and the plastic screen is dented. Can it be fixed with replacement parts

The LCD screen has been broken. The screen is the single most expensive part of the unit. It is normally not cost effective to repair them. Replacement is the best option. Prevent tip-overs in the future by either wall-mounting the device or by tethering the unit to a wall with the tether kit that is supplied with most units.

Red indicator lite turns on but the tv screen is black

Try changing the input, if nothing happens unplug for 10 seconds and then try again. If you still get nothing then the screen is probably broken or the bulb is out.

I purchased a 42" Hisense tv, the screen appears to be broken?

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Look for any loose contacts in RC jacks/sockets/Cable. Go to settings and try changing it to factory default settings, if necessary.
