This could be the fact that you are not logged on as am Administrator, thus unable to write to certain locations of memory.
If this is OK, then check your DEP is turned on for essential services. Access this at Start - (Rightclick) Computer - Properties - Advanced - Data Execution Prevention.
Restart machine anyway, and then try to load the program again.

You may also have another version of Antivirus on the system, you should only have ONE so check your Programs and Features in the control panel and remove any other Antivirus program and try again. Restart after removing any program to ensure it has been fully removed.

1. Login to macine in Safe Mode. "when you restart your machine press F8 before windows logo appear" and you will see a menu... choose safe mode with networking...

2. Go to control panel and uninstall the programs you recently installed or uninstall the recently install device driver from the device manager.

3. You could do a system restore to a previously known point, it would only exist if you have created it ...go to Accessories-System Tools-System Restore and chose a previous date.

How to Repair this SVCHOST.EXE error
After some investigating into the 0X745f2780 SVCHOST error, it became apparent the problem is a corrupted Windows Update in Windows XP. Follow the steps below to fix this error.

Verify Windows Update Service Settings

  • Click on Start, Run and type the following command in the open box and click OK

    services.msc

  • Find the Automatic Updates service and double-click on it.
  • Click on the Log On Tab and make sure the "Local System Account" is selected as the logon account and the box for "allow service to interact with desktop" is UNCHECKED.
  • Under the Hardware Profile section in the Log On Tab, make sure the service is enabled.
  • On the General Tab, the Startup Type should be Automatic, if not, drop the box down and select Automatic.
  • Under "Service Status" on the General tab, the service should be Started, click the Start button enable it.
  • Repeat the steps above for the service "Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)"
Re-Register Windows Update DLLs
  • Click on Start, Run, and type CMD and click ok
  • In the black command window type the following command and press Enter

    REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL

  • Wait until you receive the "DllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded" message and click OK
  • Repeat the last two steps above for each of the following commands:

    REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
    REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
    REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
    REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
    REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
    REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL

There is a very good chance that you are seeing the affects of a virus
infection,Please scan your system for infection with a good antivirus software (I recommend Quick Heal Total Security you can use a full featured 30 days trial version).
Hope this solves the issue

Does anyone know exactly what the instruction at 0x755aee49 referenced memory at 0xa3ffff24 the memory could not be written error is and how to resolve it.

>> the instruction at 0x755aee49 referenced memory at 0xa3ffff24 the memory could not be written

You launched some program, and Windows chose to load some of the program at the first address, and then the program tried to write some bits/bytes/words/data to the second address, but Windows has allocated the memory at that address to some other program (or to Windows itself), and Windows is "blocking" the program from overwriting at a location that is outside the bounds of the location (in memory) of the program.

I would download the free version of memtest (see link) using a friend's computer or a library computer and run it. If there is a memory error, it is much cheaper to have the defective memory replaced than to replace the computer. If that does not help , please refer to the second link , as you may have to uninstall and reinstall Internet explorer. Also you can install Google Chrome or Firefox and use them instead of internet explorer.
