Question about John Deere 338 Snowthrower 112l 111 108 116 Tractor

1 Answer

My John Deere C111 won't drive or reverse on any slight gradient

I've changed the drive belt and it's made no difference. A "straining" noise comes from in the "diff" area under the seat. It gets worse the more I try to drive it to a point it won't drive on the flat

SOURCE: My John Deere 318 lawn

hello hird... you may have a gummed up carburator. get a can of starter fluid. get a helper. remove the air cleaner. start it up and leave it in neutral while your helper squirts starter fluid into the air intake for a minute. repeat if necessary until it no longer dies in gear.

if after 3 attempts check your mower deck as a frozen pulley wheel can cause this problem also. joe

My Lt155 ride on wont engage in forward or reverse

(Simple answer)Hydrostatic drive machines have a setting that allows you to push them. machine won`t move if this is engaged.
Also If park brake is on. Otherwise check drive belt has not snapped is loose or broken. Jack machine up and see if wheels will drive without weight of machine.

757 z trak makes squealing noise when try to go forward or reverse

There are two version of this ZTR depending on the serial number. First I would check the drive belt that drives the hydrostatic system. Also the idler that keeps tension on this belt needs checking.

Need instructions for changing a drive belt on a john deere LT155 lawn tractor. When mowing up hill the forward motion is slipping even though i am not loosing traction. if i come off the pedal and start...

I have googled LT155 and came upon john deere LT155 lawn tractor(noncurrent). It took me to John Deere's site. I put in your model number and it had several catagories. I would try the alphabetical list, go to B and look for traction belt.
Good day.
