How is Bachmann's Blue Comet's locomotive powered. We were just given a set. The tender & each car take 1 9v battery but I know there must be more.

The backhead on the boiler inside the cab of the locomotive opens up and you install cell batteries into the boiler to run the locomotive..

Where do the batteries go in the 90-0100-27?

The backhead of the boiler in the cab opens and batteries are inserted into the boiler.
There also should be an adapter cable to enable your to use an R/C
car type sub-C rechargeable battery pack. It is only 7.2 v. so it will run a little slower.

I bought the set last year of holiday lionel trains g replaced batteries, have light on remote and noise from engine but no movement? any ideas

If all cars are not properly on the track, the engine does not have enough power to pull the cars. Try with engine and coal car only to zero in on cause.

There is no on/off switch. Remote will give no indication of working. Try putting engine and coal car only and try. I have had this train set for two years and the remote tends to work whenever it wants.

My son has been left a near complete boxed set of the above but I cannot work out either where the batteries go in the engine, or if it is a rechargeable battery, where it re-charges to. There is no...

The batteries are located in the enginge (locomotive). They take 6 D sized batteries. At the very back there is a panel that you need to slide off to get to the battery compartment. Somtimes it may take a little manipulation to get the panel open. As for directions, Iam in the same boat with that problem. Hope this helps.

Transmitter power lite is on but no power seen at engine-

There are two switches at the rear of the engine. One turns the sound on and off and the other turns the power to the engine on and off. Make sure you have the power switch turned on. It should default to full forward with the transmitter off.
