Open to see the top of the color wheel where it turns. This can be metal to metal, and can take a little lubricant. Oil will just run down the color wheel, so consider a little dab of Vaseline or light grease.

Apply a little 3 in 1 oil or something comparable to the shaft of the drive wheel that turns the cylinder and it there is an idler wheel on top, also apply to that. Be careful not to get oil on the surface that is being driven as this will start slipping and cause the cylinder not to turn.

How can i stop an exercise bike from squeaking

WD40 is a Water Displacement (formula) 40 liquid. Use 3 in 1 oil or grease. People use WD40 on everything, but that is not what it is for. Also, when the solvent evaporates, it leaves a water resistant film, which is sticky and attracts dust.

If you put a piece of plastic tube in your ear, you can accurately track where the squeak is coming from. In my experience, it is the frame flexing and not the mechanism.

Loud squeaking coming from left front of car

Hi Tim:
Possibles:
- Engine running but vehicle stopped. - Fan belt or bad bearing in rotating accessory like alternator or water pump.
- Vehicle moving - Worn brake pad. Little metal tab drags on disc and makes squeak to tell you it's time to replace.
- Vehicle not moving, engine not running - Tire parked on neighbor's cat's tail.

I just bought the Honeywell Quietset 8-Speed tower fan (black and silver on top). I installed it correctly but the fan is extremely loud and squeaky and can hear the inside pole that rotates the fan, even...

STOP! Before you take anything apart, turn fan upside down and find the large plastic "screw"(cord passes through it)that secures the fan to the pedestal. Is same color as unit. Loosen it and see if squeaking stops. Worked for me!

Mine was driving me nuts and I was prepared to return it to store.

My dryer is making a loud squeaking noise when i turn it on

I would suspect the belt to be making the noise. If you are handy with a screwdriver, unplug the dryer, take the back panel off and have someone rotate the drum while you listen for the squeak. If it is the belt, get a can of belt dressing from your local auto parts store and lightly spray it on while rotating the drum so you get all parts of the belt.

I have a Wurlitzer Juke Box (One More Time, 1015, Vinyl) & need to replace one of the florescent bulbs in the turning, side cylinder. Someone said to turn the color cylinder a quarter turn & it...

The actual light tube slides sideways into the socket and then is rotated 90 degrees so it clicks (quarter turn). It is physically impossible so wurlitzer added a black plastic cap at the top and bottom of the tube with a bit sticking out that you can use to turn the tube. So look at the very top and bottom of the actual light tube and try turning the black part.

Wurlitzer 1015 CD 50 disk - florescent bulbs change

You have to rotate the tube 90 degrees until you hear a click, then it pulls straight out of the sockets at the top and bottom (towards you). In order to grip the tube Wurlitzer put a black plastic cap on the end of the tubes with a bit sticking out for you to get hold of. On models where the colour cylinder is flexable you can actually squeeze it in the middle and grab the tube that way.

Lcd tv screen comes on , but will only display the lightest tints of colors, making the picture almost impossible to view. three seems to be a distinct absence of blue .

I may need new CCF (Cold Cathode Florescence) backlight tubes. Most lcd's detect when one goes out and kills the power altogether to the light tubes.
