When this happens, look at the indicator LED's on the Router/Gateway for that ethernet channel, most Routers have an Activity LED, this would normally be flashing, older ones often have 2 LED's (10/100 LED and Activity LED) the 10/100 LED will always be on for 100 Mb/s the Activity should be flashing. I would guess if the Activity LED is flashing then you have a problem with the TV. Have you tried plugging a different network device into that port/channel? Or plug the TV into a different port/channel?

What is the actual model number of your LG TV, this would help. Also when you say keeps disconnecting, do you mean whilst it is on and functioning, or do you mean after it has been switched off?

How do I connect my new smart TV to Netflix, it keeps telling me that ther is no internet connection

The TV Needs to be connected to an Internet Connection!
Either Wirelessly, connected to a Hotspot - most likely your WiFi from either your modem or router, depending on how you get online?
Or... Your TV can be hard wired, with a cat cable directly from your Modem/Router to the TV.
If hard wired, double check in the settings page of your TV (Navigate there with your remote) and confirm this.
If wireless, again navigate to settings and scroll to Network Connections, or something similar, (can't be specific since you didn't provide make and model) choose wireless, locate your home network name, enter your Password, and your TV should now connect to Netflix, among other platforms.
Good Luck

I keep getting authentication problem when trying to connect my smart TV to the internet. I am sure my password is correct and am aware of case sensitivity when entering password. What more can I do?

Try recovering as a factory reset since there may be some problem in your TV's connection. Once you do your factory reset all your settings will be set to default. For factory reset see your TV's Manual.

The TV should not be asking this a Wireless connection, these are required for a WIRED connection.
It should ask you to identify the Access Point, then the password to access the AP. You might need to tell the router that the TV can be accepted on the router as a client. The router should be set up to use DCHP to give the TV an Internet IP address when requested.

My internet keeps disconnecting

It sounds like the wire from your house to the isp switch is faulty you should probably call them down to fix. Or it could just be the modem are you using the same modem for both computers? If so then that's probably the problem.
