As the hopper gun does not use oil, you are either spraying an oil based material which is separating in the hopper, or you are using a compressor that is leaving oil in the airline; this could happen if the compressor is worn and oil is leaking past the piston into the air.

Testimonial: "Hi David Thank you for your answer to further clarify this machince has had little use and is faily new I have noticed during the last few uses that we had to top up the oil as it was empty and seemed to have leaked all over the machine, it has not had much use so for it to be worn would surprise me but it would seem to be leaking into the hose for sure. Is there a rebuild kit for these you know of incase there is a problem or some type of seal as it has leaked on the machine since the second or third time I used it from buying it new, but never leaked into the hose like it does now. I have maybe done 15 texture eilings with it since buying it last year"

Generator wont srart

tank filter carburetor , sprayer , gaskets (sometimes) OIL-LEVEL to low or (it can happens but not often ) defect oil-control if oil level is good temporarily pull the oil monitoring loose bougie BCPR6ET does sometimes good equivalent services.
If the ignition module is defect no sparking and you are order a new one you must know the serialnumber of the engine type to get the right one because of modifications by later build of the same models van later construction year. or there is a valve problem
But that is rare . to high overcurrent for start start the generator without connected tools .

Not enough air to run air tools

You have how much pressure in the tank? And what air tool wont run? Did you oil the tools lately?

Lid does not seal---very loose

If sprayer doesnt seal against pressure, I suggest check cover gasket A (image 1). Check pump cylinder gasket B (image 2) and additionally, check the procedure if pump dont build pressure. on how to remoce pump cylinder on follow lines.

If pump doesnt build pressure... in most instances, failure of the pumo to build air pressure in the sprayer is due to dry or worm plunger cul leather. To work on cup leather, always remove plunger from pumo cylinder. Do not attempt to oil cup leather through breather hole in **** cap.

First, unthread pumo cap A (image 1). If cap is too tight, and if pumo will build even slight temporary pressure, pressurizing the tnak will make it easier to loosen cap. Once cap is lossened, release tank pressure. Hold pump cylinder by inserting hand through tank filler openning (image 2), and unscrew cap all the way. Pull plunger from cylinder, and remove cylinder from inside the tank.

Place a few drops of clea oil (not heavier than SAE 30) on leather, and massage into leather until it is soft. Replace plunger cup leather if damaged (image 3). to remove plunger leather assembly, use coin rather than screw driver in the slot of the plunger cup retainer. To reassemble, hold pump cylinder in tank openning, with squared edge of flange, at top of cylinder, toward tank wall.

Hope this helps to solve it.

2006 sporster 1200 lots of valve noise has oil pressure.think it is colasped lifters. what your thoughts.or trouble shooting tips without breaking down the engine

If you're having that much valve noise, you have probably lost oil pressure for some reason. Take your oil filter off the engine and take the spark plugs out. Spin the engine with the starter and watch for oil to pump out of the fitting for the oil filter.

Now, you didn't mention how loud the valve noise was. If you have indeed lost oil pressure to your tappets, the noise will be quite noticable, not just a slight rattling. Your bike will sound like a pea thrasher.

The late model Sportster oil pumps are not like the older models that were so bad about shearing the drive pins. The late model doesn't have the pins. They have flat drive angles on the oil pump shaft. About the only thing that I can think of that would cause a loss of oil pressure on a Sporty is a piece of trash got into the tank and is blocking the inlet to the pump or the pump is air locked for some reason. Unscrew the oil pressure sending unit and spin the engine over long enough to pump out a few ounces of oil.

I've only seen one Evo Sporty lose oil pressure. Someone had tried to stop an oil leak in the oil tank by Creme coating the tank. Creme is designed for a fuel tank, not an oil tank. The coating cannot take the heat of the hot oil, becomes brittle and starts flaking off.

Good Luck

I purchased the Wagner power tex and loved it, recently it doesn?t spray with the ease as it did when I bought, I haven?t used it a lot only to do fill in?s, seems like it only releases the texture once...

Your sprayer is self powered? you don't use a separate compressor? I have one with a compressor and it has to be taken apart " the gun" everytime or the trigger becomes stiff. If it's self powered, I would say your mixture is too stiff and water and it should be fine..If not and if it's self powered, then your motor may not work properly.

How do you stomp texture or stipple a ceiling?

There are a ton of different ways you can get this done. You can purchase what is called a popcorn sprayer that works like an air powered paint gun for ceilings of course you'll need a compressor also. Some hardware stores rent this equipment. You'll be spraying on a material also available at most local hardware stores that is sort of like drywall joint compound only a different consistency.

If you choose to texture by hand you can use a number of tools to get different textures paintbrushes, brooms sponges, precut stencils, rags, etc.. Basically clear out the room cover anything you don't want to get messed up gt a bucket of drywall joint compund your texture tool of choice and a trowel. spread a thin layer of compund on the ceiling and texture away. The thicker you spread it the more texture you will get. Be sure to have a helper that can switch off as this does get tiring, and you'll need extra hands to help get clean water for your tools so your texturing project is consistent. Plan accordingly, this is not a project you want to leave halfway through and finish another day. If you start a room, finish it. or you will notice the difference in texture every time you sit down and try to relax.

Sprayer Question

Hose end sprayers are the simplest and least expensive of the category. A sprayer jar is attached to a regular garden sprayer. Concentrated material is added to the sprayer jar. An adjustment on the jar determines the amount delivered. The force of the water through the hose pulls the material up from the jar and mixes and dilutes it with the water. A built-in anti-siphon device prevents unused material from being pulled back into your water supply. Compression or tank sprayers are the most common type of spray equipment. Concentrated material is added to the tank. Water is then added to a marked fill line. The remaining air is pressurized by pumping the handle a designated number of times. A control lever on the wand controls the spray pattern and amount. Compression sprayers provide a precise, on target, non-drift spray good for soil and lawn pests. Adjust the sprayer for a coarse, drenching spray, a concentrated stream or a fine mist. Tank capacities range from 1 quart to over 3 gallon for handheld models. Homeowner type backpack sprayers hold up 4 gallons. The tanks may be made from polyethylene plastic, galvanized steel or stainless steel. In addition to treatments for pests and diseases, compression sprayers are designed for applying cleaning solutions for decks and siding. Backpack sprayers are operated in the same manner as the handheld compression sprayer. The over-the-shoulder configuration makes it easier to carry the heavier load of material. Some backpack models also use a lever-style pump to maintain pressure without removing the unit form your back. Powered sprayers rely on a gasoline engine for spray power. Great for larger yards or gardens due to portability and capacity (12 gallons). Dusters are a slightly different breed. Dry powders (mostly for blooming plants such as roses) are added to a canister and applied by manually pumping. NOTE: Compression sprayers deliver liquid under pressure. Compression sprayers are powerful and efficient tools. This fact also makes them potentially dangerous. Always read the manufacturer's instructions and safety precautions carefully.

Bissell ProHeat Clear won't spray from floor nozzels but it does stray from hand cleaner

Usually when the hand tool works ok, then the heater inside the handle asm. is clogged. The water bypasses the heater when you use the hand tool. Other then that it could be a bad pump.
