Touch your print spooler on the bottom left of the screen and delete all of the print jobs there. When this is cleaned and is reports no print jobs remiaining it should then work correctly,n

I don't know what you mean by the print spooler. I click on the printer icon and open the jobs and try to delet them. They will say deleting but never do> I have waitd a couple of hours and still not deleting. The only way to get them to dele is to restart my computer. Then after one succsesful job the next does the same thing. This is on my wife's computer. After we purchased this printer a couple of years ago the same thing was happening to both our computers but her windows crashed and I had to reinstall. Since then it has been happening again. I was able to find the fix on this site then but I did not save it. It has something to do with the spooling I think, When mine prints properly the progress bar does not show up. Thank you

I was able to find the fix for this on Lexmarks website. I had to cancel the print status window. If anyone else is have this issue go to Lexmark.com and under support and then product support type in this document id: SO7483.

Hi David, Sorry about the falling into technogeek the spooler is just a name for the program that queues the print jobs and 'spools' them to the printer. Think of it as a tickertape Frederick (thats where the name comes from) my next suggestion is to un - install the printer driver and re-install it. Let me know if this works.

SOURCE: Cannot print unless I turn off computer and then reboot.

I'm not a big fan of Lexmark in general in part due to their software and drivers. For me this type of behavior from their printers/software became common about a year ago, the fix being to use the more generic Windows supplied printer drivers. I would suggest that you uninstall all software the printer installed and remove all of the printers print queue(s)including any associated with the fax function. Unplug the printer USB cable from the computer, reboot your PC and reinstall the printer from scratch using your original installatin CD.

SOURCE: X5150 and Vista print issue

I am posting this in hopes of helping others that are having issues with the Vista print spooler. In my case, I have an HP Pavilion laptop running Vista connected to a wireless hub. I also have a Minolta Konica 2300DL printer that is connected to the network via the wireless hub as well. Ever since obtaining this laptop, I have not been able to print to the printer other than stopping and starting the print spooler to obtain a single print 'job'. After about six months I found a post that contains the fix - I cannot take credit for it! Follow these instructions to get your printer to work:

1.) Go into control panel - I would suggest classic view as it is a little easier to navigate.

2.) Then go into User Accounts.

3.) From User Accounts go into Turn User Account Control On or Off

4.) UNCHECK Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.

5.) At this point you will probably require a reboot.

Once this exercise is complete, you should be able to print. One more item off of my Honey DOO list!!!!!

SOURCE: Lexmark 2600 not printing

I recently had the same problem. Your Lexmark printer has automatically placed itself on pause. You must go to the control panel and unpause it from there. Its' simple, just go to control panel and select printer and faxes. Select your Lexmark printer and right click it. Then select resume from the drop down menu. Your printer is now unpaused and ready to print!

SOURCE: status on print job says offline dell m5200

a few questions:

-Do you know this printer IP?
-Can you ping this printer?
-How many printers do you have on your network?
-Did all the printers on your network offline or just this printer?
-Did you check the network cable that connected to your printer?

solution:
-you might try to restart printer spooling service on your print server
or
-If your server is still functional, you might try to reinstall/set up this printer on network

SOURCE: Designjet 500 stops printing in the middle of print job

To solve the printing problem..

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Fix repeated paper jams on Lexmark 901 Pro

If you are getting a jam and there is no paper visible then a likely cause is a false jam that is caused when the paper is not picked up from the tray at the start of printing. Send a print job and listen closely. If you can hear the pickup rollers turning but no paper is being pulled into the printer then either the rollers are dirty or are worn and need to be replaced. Trying printing from a different tray or the manual feed tray to eliminate a fault with a different component on the printer.

Lexmark pinnacle pro 901 quit copying in color

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

I have a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro 901 printer and its set up to print using black ink only, but it keeps telling to replace color cartridges and it won't let me print at all, how do I print using blac

The printer would need all cartridges to have sufficient ink levels to continue printing - that's to prevent damaging the printhead. Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.

To save on your ink investment, try printing in draft mode and by making sure that your printing preferences is set to print using black ink only.

You won't be able to print if one of the cartridges is out of ink. The printer needs all cartridges with sufficient ink levels to prevent damaging the printhead.

Document won't delete from printer queue after printed

Have you tried to stop the spooler service in services?

Option 1)
Click on start orb
Type in search window:
services.msc
click ok
Scroll down to Print spooler service and click on it in the right side window.
On the left side click stop the service and wait forthe process to stop .Do not close the window yet. You will have to restart it here later.
next delete the print job in the printer queue then restart the spooler service
Resubmit your new print job.

Option 2)
If that doesn't clear it, the next step would be to stop the spooler
service as stated above
Go into windows explorer
(Print job data is collected and stored in a spool file in the spooler folder.)

It is located in:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Your print job will show 2 files there Example below:
00002.SHD
00002.SPL

Delete the files located in there. There may be several of them depending apon how many print jobs you submitted. You will have to resubmit your print jobs all over again.
Next go back to services window and restart the spooler service

That will definitely fix it.
