I am a technician I would like to ask if how can I repair my Infocus projector model 3116 ,I accidentally entered 12 volts at the back itself to the 5 volts output jack.

Don't know how to fix this, but it sounds as if you may have blown it out and cant be repaired, after seeing smoke .that usually means it is now a paper weight . Sorry if my answer offends you

The ignition coil is burning and the car won't start, what should I do?

check the voltage of the coil and ensure that you have the correct one. They come in 2 voltages . One is straight 12 volt and starts and runs on 12 volts. The other is 12v-7 volts . It starts on 12 v and runs on 7v through a resistor . Burning coils is an indication of the incorrect voltage in the run position. Leaving the ignition on when the engine is not running ( turning on the key to listen to the radio for a period of time) instead of using the accessories setting will also burn out coils.

After bulb burns out during church service and fan is running when power is turned off and bulb is replaced. Projector will not power back up.

Hi, I would suggest that you give it more time to cool down in the future, that is why bulb burned.
There could be more heat damage to projector. Check for reset botton and push carefully. listen for click. Look at main switch with more detail (worn out) Bring to be repaired. Good luck.

I have infocus LP120 and the bulb burned out the other day. I installed a new bulb and it starts up fine except there is burning smell from the vent. Is it normal? Some guys told me it's "burn-in" process...

Yes it is normal, but there were issues in the past with the lamp burning the lamp cables. Infocus then upgraded the cables with slightly heavier gauge wire and better thermal tape around the wires. It would be hard for me to tell you if yours has the upgrade, but if you got it from Infocus I'm sure it is good.

I have a infocus 4805 projector the bulb quit on me due to over heating i guess, any way it cracked and burnt out. I ordered a new bulb which i received and installed. I watched half a movie and had to...

first thing's first- clean the dust out of the projector with canned air. excessive dust and heat are death to a projector. then check the colorwheel. if you don't hear a high-pitched whir or you hear a buzzing, the colorwheel needs to be replaced. the lamp won't strike without it. next check both fans. you may need to take the top off to do it. if both fans don't spin properly, it will overheat. many times the larger fan (lamp fan) will burn out or the circuit that starts it burns out. next, check the new lamp. does it have black spot, bulges, or fogging? if so, you'll need to replace it. if you do have to, don't get the cheapest one from "bob's lamps" online. you get what you pay for. if all that is ok, then you have a bad power supply. it's rare that this model has ps issues, but it's not unheard of. you could get the part(s) from an infocus service center, or send it in to them for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

I Followed the directions and changed the bulb. When

there is a burn spot on one of the light filters located next to the blue lcd panel. it is caused from excessive heat and dust. unfortunately, you'd need to replace the entire optical engine because infocus does not sell individual optical engine parts.

I have an InFocus SP5000 projector that has started showing a green glow in mid-screen (center). Before I buy a $300 lamp want to know the cause of the green glow.

either the light filter behind the blue lcd panel or the fly-eye lens (both inside the optical engine) have developed a burn spot from overheating. infocus doesn't sell individual parts for the optical engine, and the whole thing must be replaced. but unfortunately, it's the most expensive part of the projector, usually upwards of $2000 (and there's none in stock).
