Question about Televison & Video
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

You need a T-con Board and I have that one for $80.00.
I reclaim working components for TV damaged in shipping or returned for other reasons. Simple repair for any body with a Philips screwdriver. NO special tools needed.

This is interesting and quiet strange. On off button is working, however rest of the buttons are not working. Moreover, there is a darker than normal light on the screen. This could be a combination of multiple failure ( rare coincidence ). More likely, it seems to be a problem with mainboard. It could be a problem with panel as well. However, regarding buttons, it could be a firmware problem. In the past, westinghouse models do have this issue when buttons on the side were not working, however On Off buttons were working. This firmware is only available with westinghouse. You could try to call a tech on site who could actually diagnose what needs to be done. This is not a DIY. The tech would make sure that there is nothing wrong with board's.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.
Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.
Hope this helps
