How do I register my vtech phone?

"Register" refers to the pairing of the handset to
the base so they can communicate securely
in private via an encryption scheme so no one
can easily evesdrop.

When you first set the phone up for use, you will
need to effect the registration then:

( III.) To register each handset to the base:

1. press [Find Handset] on the base and hold for
~4 sec until the "In Use" lamp lights.
2. press # on the handset and set the handset into
the handset cradle on the base
3. within 30 seconds or so, the handset will either
chirp and display "Handset Registered", then
"Handset #x" or it will say "Registration Failed".

NOTE: the battery must be well charged prior to the
registration process, a weak battery may cause a
"Registration Failed". Charge the battery for a
few hours and try the registration ( III ) again.

Good luck !!

Is everyone's cell phone number being released to the public and will we receive telemarketer calls unless we call a specific number to stop them?

No, your number is not being released to the public. But at the same time be smart, keep it off of places like social media I.e. Facebook, Twitter etc. Then more exposure you have, the higher the likelihood for telemarketing, spam and so on!

Stop annoying phone calls

I obviously don't know where you live, I'm in USA. I don't know what the 03013 is in your post, if it is the # for who's calling you, well you are definitely in another country, here our landlines have a total of 10 numbers (000) 000-0000. Try registering your landline with Do Not Call Registry. In your browsers search, type National Do Not Call Registry. There should be a page that pops up with links to guide you through the registration process. Takes about 20 seconds to register, but the reading will take about 5-10 min. Once you register, it sometimes takes up to 30 days to go into full effect. My calls stopped almost immediately. Register every 5 years. Hope this helps. This does NOT stop bill collectors or prank calls. Good luck

Need to block a specific phone number from calling or texting your iPhone? It could be telemarketers, spam text messages, or that crank that won't stop calling and messaging. Apple's iOS does not have a built-in feature to block a phone number, but there are other solutions.

1. Your carrier might be able to block individual numbers. AT&T has an optional feature called Smart Limits for Wireless that runs $4.99 per month. One of the many functions is the capability to block up to 30 numbers from calling or texting your iPhone.

Verizon Wireless offers Spam Control for no additional charge. This feature can be found under My Services when logged into your account, and blocks up to 5 numbers from calling or texting.

2. Owners of jailbroken iPhones can install apps from the Cydia Store that will block phone numbers.iBlacklist is fully compatible with all iOS devices, iOS 5 and older firmware. For a one-time cost of $12, iBlacklist adds a plethora of useful features to your iPhone including the ability to block calls and texts from individual numbers.

MobileLog is currently in development and will be offered for sale to jailbroken iPhone owners soon. The app will also provide many enhancements to the stock calling app as well as number blocking.

3. Make sure you've registered your iPhone number with the National Do Not Call Registry. This will not stop texts, but it will require most telemarketers to stop calling your line within 31 days. Complaints can also be filed using the same website, and phone number registrations with the service never expire.

4. Assign a silent ringtone to the numbers you don't want to answer. This stops calls from bothering you, but texts will still sound an alert.

5. Another calling only solution are services such as TrapCall, which has plans starting at $4.95 per month. No iPhone app installation is required, and once you're signed up TrapCall will unmask blocked caller IDs and blacklist unwanted callers. More expensive plans can be purchased that offer more in-depth functions.

I want to block a particular number from calling my K800i. Can you help me?

hi friend,
    Prevent Telemarketing Calls
  1. With more people switching to using their cell phones as their primary phone number, it has become easier than ever for your phone number to make its way onto the call lists of telemarketers. You can block these calls by registering your number with the Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call list at Registrations need only be made once and will not expire. Telemarketers are required to update their lists by removing new numbers from the Do Not Call list, but it may take up to a month before the companies hassling you do so; after this month has passed, complaints can be filed with the Federal Communications Commission at
  2. Block Calls with Your Handset
  3. Many mobile phones have the capability to block unwanted calls directly within their settings. Typically, such calls are either dropped entirely or are automatically routed to voice mail. You may also have the option of setting individual numbers to neither ring nor vibrate your phone, in which case you'll still receive the call, but since your phone will not alert you, there is no danger of it interrupting you. Check your phone's manual for details about whether your phone has this capability; alternately, the discussions at Howard Forums are an excellent resource for every make and model of cell phone.
  4. Contact Your Cell Provider
  5. Some companies offer call blocking as a centralized network service. Usually, there will be options either to create a list of blocked numbers or to prevent all calls except those from a list of pre-approved numbers. This option may not be as attractive as the others, as your provider may charge a monthly fee for this service, or it may make updating your lists more difficult. However, a distinction is made for calls that are deemed to be harassment or stalking; such calls should be blocked by your carrier at no charge.
  6. Use an Intermediary Service
  7. Finally, another option is to use a secondary incoming call number, such as the one provided by Google Voice. Intermediary services such as this one give you a new number and allow you to directly control the circumstances under which each contact's calls are forwarded to your phone. For example, you can set up Google Voice so that only your known contacts call your cell phone, and only at particular hours; other calls may go to your home phone, or straight to voicemail.
step 1
Call your cell phone carrier. Dial 611 from your cell phone to reach customer service and tell your provider that you would like to request line block. The representative from your carrier may ask you a few questions, but the process is quick and painless.
  • Step 2 Dial *82 if you need to unblock your number. Once you have put line block on your phone, you can temporarily take it off by dialing *82 before dialing out.
  • Step 3 Block a specific call. If you do not want to put line block on your cell phone permanently, you can block your number temporarily on a call-by-call basis.
  • Step 4 Dial *67 before dialing out to just block that particular call. After entering *67, proceed to dial the rest of the number as usual.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
    • If you use temporary blocking, you should dial your own home phone number, if you have caller ID, to test to see if the block is working.
    • Do not block your number just to commit prank calls, fraud or crime.
    hope this helps u

How can I block telemarketers from calling me. I pay for call block on my phone bill, but it does not work.

When a telemarketer calls tell them "Remove this number form your calling list now (then tell them your #). Then you can hang up!!!

It is the LAW that if you tell the telemarketers not to call your number back, they can't.

If they do call back again after telling them not to call back they can get in serous they never call back.

I had this problem when I got my new phone number that was used previously.Know no one calls me!!!

the Phone block you have only blocks a certain list of well known Telemarketers.

    Call blocking

I contacted my phone service carrier. They informed me there is no way to block incoming calls. However, as long as I do not answer unwanted calls and let them go straight to voicemail, there will be no charge for them. That was my concern - that I was being charged for unwanted telemarketing calls to my cell phone.
