Probably gummy residue from the beginning of the new roll used to keep it together stuck to the thermal head. Simply put some alcohol on a cue tip or swab and gently and repeatedly wipe across the head

The print is faded at the bottom of the card

If the problem started when you changed label rolls, the problem is most likely the newly installed label roll. In the picture below is an extract from the Dymo Users Guide going over print quality issues.

I cannot get the calculator canon MP121-DH to print on the paper roll. Any suggestions

This paper will only print on one side. Try flipping the roll over so that it tries to print on the opposite side.

Dymo LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo - Until recently worked fine from both sides. Suddenly, no longer printing from left - prints half a label, then stops, then error message says Out of Paper, the blue light...

See if it still happens using a fresh label roll. From the Dymo 450 User Guide the common causes of poor print quality issues.

Poor print quality is most frequently caused by one of the following:
• An old roll of labels
• Labels made by a manufacturer other than DYMO
• Labels where the thermal coating has been compromised
• A dirty print head
First, make sure you are using DYMO-branded labels. Do not use third-party labels because the thermal coating on other labels has a different sensitivity than DYMO-branded labels. Also, the perforated holes between the labels made by other manufacturers are frequently not detectable by LabelWriter printers.
If the print quality becomes faint, small dots of white appear scattered through the printed characters, or light and dark patches of printing appear, you are probably using a faulty roll of labels. Try using a different roll from a fresh box. If the second roll prints correctly, the problem is with the first roll of labels.
Another possibility is that the LabelWriter print head needs cleaning. Every LabelWriter printer comes with a cleaning card. See "Caring for Your Printer" on page 17 for information about the
LabelWriter cleaning card.

Changed rolls of labels on Zebra GX 420T and now nothing prints

Were the new labels thermal paper? Thermal printers need specially made paper to work right.

Faded Printing

You can also go into your printing preferences and change the intensity or darkness of the printing. This fixed the problem for us. Good luck!

My MFC-7820n was printing perfectly and now, suddenly, all pages are very light and most toner doesn't seem to be fusing to the paper. The page 'sort of' prints but it's illegible. I have installed a new...

If the toner is not getting completely fused to the paper (i.e. you can rub it off with your fingers either completely or partially), then there is something wrong in the fuser section. The fuser is nothing more than two rolls pressed together with heat lamps inside (usually just one roll has a lamp). Perhaps a spring fell off? or the lamp is burned out.

My printer not printing at all- paper just rolling out with scant

if you haven't used the printer for a while before you discovered the bad print quality, the print head has most probably completely dried out. i don't think there is anything you can do about that, except for replacing it better having it replaced by an authorised technician.

Paper feeds as if normal but no printing appears on paper

If it is now printing blank and was working before the paper roll change then you need to flip the roll over and print on the other side of the paper. This is assuming you have the correct thermal paper roll.
