Jura J9.3 Shows ERROR 1 when powered on. Tried "everything" but it won't start. Changed TRIAC
Got an Error 1 on my Jura J9.3 - changed the TRIAC on the power board, still no go. Thermal sensor is ok measuring 10KOhm at 18C. Thermal cut-out is ok. Heater element seems OK. Machine always asks me to rinse the water tank when powered on. I can't measure any AC power at the heater element at any time. Any ideas?

Error 8 is a general error for not being in sync. There is a encoder disk that tracks where all the mechanical pieces are during the process. When they are not where they are supposed to be its an Error 8. This can be caused by a jamb, being dirty, faulty sensor... lots of stuff. Probably means your unit needs to be disassembled and cleaned.
The quick way to clear this is pulling the cord out of the wall and wait a few seconds and plug it back it. This will cause everything to reset and usually clears the error... until you can clean it.
If you need help, parts guru has videos on youtube, parts and will rebuild you brew group for you. I have repaired mine 2x.
Error 1 is a defect in the steam heating unit. Possible solutions: Thermal sensor is defective -replace. Cable to the thermal is broken or contact pins are corroded - replace, repair. Heating or thermal cut-out are defective - measure and replace parts if required. Triac on the power board is defective. The heater heats up triggering the overtemperature protection - Replace the overtempereature protection (thermal cut out) and the power board or the single triac.
Error code 5 means : Required temperature not reached. Causes/Trubleshooting
Thermoblock has blown - replace thermoblock. Power electronics is defective - replace the triacs of the power board or the whole power board. Attention - determine resistance value of the Thermoblock to avoid subsequent errors.
The Owner Manual for the Jura Impressa S9 One Touch identifies Error 2 as being too cold and disabled for safety, but simply instructs to "Turn the IMPRESSA off at the power switch. Contact Customer Support in your country." for all other errors.
