Try Checking your remote and make sure it did not short out by taking out the batteries and see if it continues turning on and off. if so then i would recommend replacing the remote. if this does not work try putting tape over the ir receiver and see if it continues, this will check for interference.

This is is due to a faulty resistor probably the B+(R950)..On the power supply control circuit..If you know how to use a multimeter you can easily find the faulty one...And replace it.However if you are not good at electronics i advice that you give it for service coz its not gonna cost you too much..Dont delay the repair as it can damage the more expensive components in the Tv.
Good luck!

SOURCE: my tv 32pw9617 switches of by itself.

sounds lick you may have a dry joint in the powers or line o/p stage.

as a rare fault it could be the crt with an intermittant internal s/c. but you would notice the colour was tinted either red, green, or blue in the dark areas of the pic.

It's possible it may be an error code. Depending on the number of blinks it will tell you what to look for when diagnosing the TV.

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

Bush tv keeps switching itself on and off standby

I think that the problem of your tv is only the switch. Is this always happening when watching the tv specially when the tv is producing vibration because of the sounds? Try to set your tv in mute and observe the duration of the fault then put some sound and observe again if the duration will change. Feel free to send feed back good day.
