Question about Vizio E470i-A0
Not sure if this happened through my direct tv receiver, or vizio menu setting, or if it's just flat out malfunctioning! Blue light is on but not flashing. All I have is sound. Any ideas? I can not see the screen to change any settings either! It's around 1yr old and around 50in, but no receipt or warranty. Help!

Do you have back light when turning on the TV? if you do then just replace the main board should resolve the problem. if you do not have back light, you will need to replace the inverter board(s) depending on your model. The inverter board(s) is located on the left side of the TV facing back of TV. you may have two inverter boards depending on your model. the other is located on the right side of the TV. Both mount vertically.

SOURCE: black screen
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
I would keep hounding them for the warranty issue. Why do you have to spend a dime if the TV is still under warranty? I would just keep at it.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
