I would confirm that you are installing the batteries correctly (Positive is the +, Negative -)... I would also confirm that your NEW BATTERY is also GOOD. On more than one occasion, I have purchased a NEW BATTERY just to discover it was defective.

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable. I really hope this will work for you, but unfortunantly often when the product is dropped a mechanical problem appears. And there is nothing more than to order an OoW repair for this fault and model is 48 pounds. Wont reinstall OS (error message during installation)

I had a very similar problem when trying to install the new OS. The way I got it working was

1. make sure you have fresh batteries in.
2. Find a new computer which you have not used neither TI connect nor the calculator on.
3. Download the OS to this computer from Ti´s webpage
4. Install Ti connect and the calculator on this machine 100 % correct! (check other help files for this)
5. Go into Ti connect, and it should find the calculator now.
6. Use the "device explorer" and then the "OS downloader" directing the downloader to the path where you have already downloaded the OS to the computer.

I hope this helps you out...
