I just replaced the Belt Cleaner Assembly in our Xerox Phaser 7800 as it was stating it was at 0% and PAST end of life. Now I have installed a new one, the same message is still up! Help!

When replacing inks, they instantly register as 100%, is the Belt Cleaner Assembly different? Do I need to reset it? If so, HOW?!

I have also restarted the entire machine several times but nothing changes. The Imaging Units show up as 100% but the Belt Cleaner and Trasfer Roller are still at 0%! Very frustrating. We have a deep grove running through all A3 prints and have no idea what is causing the issue. As all of the parts previously mentioned needed replacing, we thought it may be that but they are all fitted now but it has made no difference. Any ideas?!?! Thank you very much for your help!

You may try the PhaserMatch software, it is suppose to be able to reset the printer to factory settings.

It may be another part that is past end of life, The imaging unit may also need replaced, once a new part is installed the printer should pick-up on the new part (Except belts) and reset itself. Often this line of printer fails to reset after a new part is installed. Xerox offers little to now support on this error, except sending in for repairs. However many people have said turning the unit off, unplugging it, sometimes fixes this issue.
Others have stated the problem "Fixes itself" after a while.
In my experience, removing the cartridges or imaging units and reseating them can sometimes cause the device to reset but not always.

I have now replaced the Belt Cleaner Assembly, the Transfer Roller and 2x Imaging Units. However, the Belt Cleaner Assembly and the Transfer Roller STILL come up at 0%! The imaging Units are now registering at 100%. Very frustrating! I have restarted the printer at the mains several times and nothing changes. We have a deep grove running across all A3 prints (not ink smudges- an actual indentation in the paper- so thought replacing these parts would make a difference but hasn't. Any ideas? Thank you for all your help- I'm certainly no techno queen so this is all very confusing to me!!!!

The accumulator belt on my 7760 phaser is giving a past end of life message. How can I find out how many copies it has remaining?

Try printing the full status sheet. If you print out all the setting it should cover all the information you need to make your judgement.
Good luck.

If your Xerox Phaser 6180, 6180mfp, 6280, or 6280mfp is displaying "Replace Transfer Unit" or "Ready transfer Unit Life" you most likely need to replace the transfer unit.
For the 6180 and 6180mfp the part number is 675K47088. For the 6280 and 6280mfp the part number is 675K70583.Here is a video that shows you how to replace this part. It is very easy and requires no tools.

Transfer roller usage message on Phaser 7700. replaced..still wont print

I found the answer here: http://office.support.xerox.com/SRVS/cgi-bin/webcgi.cgi

Resetting Transfer Roller Life
  • Resetting the transfer roller life is to be performed only if the Transfer Roller Assembly was defective and or the assembly is replaced before an end of life or near end of life message. Not to extend the life of the assembly. Doing so may cause premature failure of other internal printer components.

  • The printer will prompt the user to reset the life counts if the assembly is replaced after receiving a Replace Transfer Roller or Replace Transfer Roller Soon message.
note_image33x30.gif    Note: If the main Menu does not appear on the front panel screen and only Replace Transfer Roller is displayed, there may be a print job that is either processing or currently printing. Try the following steps to clear the print jobs and reset the Transfer Roller life:
  1. Press the cancel button several times to flush processing jobs from the printer.

  2. If you do not receive access to the front panel menu by doing this, power off the printer and disconnect Ethernet, parallel or USB cable from the printer.

  3. Turn the printer back on, and while it is powering up, immediately start pushing the cancel key repeatedly until you receive access to the front panel menu.

  4. If the printer menu appears on the front panel screen, follow the instructions below to reset the Transfer Roller life if the printer did not prompt you to reset it:

  1. With Menus highlighted press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow and scroll to Supplies Info Menu.

  3. Press OK.

  4. Press the Down Arrow and scroll to Exit at the bottom of the menu tree.

  5. Now scroll up to Reset Transfer Roller Life.

  6. Press OK.

  7. Reset Transfer Roller NOW is displayed.

  8. Press OK to reset the transfer roller life.

Xerox phaser 7400

There really isnt an easy way to do that.
The transfer belt assembly starts off with a fuse on it to blow immediatly on install, and a counter that is internal so that it will end of life and have to be replaced. It's really not a convience counter but an obsolence counter.

Phaser 6250 transfer roller

Hi clwest: I hope that this will help you.

Transfer Roller is at End of Life
■ Print the Supplies Usage page to verify the remaining life and Transfer
Roller install date.
■ Cycle printer power.
■ If the problem persists, follow the procedure below
Note
Look at the clear plastic window on the Transfer Roller. If toner is present in the
center of the window the Transfer Roller is at end of life and needs to be
replaced. If no toner is visible, try cleaning the CTD (ADC) Sensor.
The “Transfer Roller is at End of Life” is a warning. “Replace Transfer Roller” is
a hard stop.
