Question about Gigabyte 8VM533M-RZ (GA-8VM533M-RZ) Motherboard

Computer cut -off went running

I start the computer, hear one beep (which is good), then runs for about 30 seconds and shut-down. Retarted the computer around 10 times or more still does the same thing, over, and over, and over again....

I check the nvidia video card on another computer (ok), hard drive (ok), sound card(ok).

Could it be the power supply, or the CPU, or the motherboard?
Could anyone help me, going on 3 days, and I can't figure out!!!!

Re: Computer cut -off went running

There is a jumper near the board cmos battery try to clear cmos by changing the jumper to the other position for some seconds (while power is off) so smos is clear. start the pc hit delete to enter setup then load system defaults , exit saving changes.

Hi, what you have not tested for isolation is your power supply, re-seating of processor for 20 minutes, cmos clearing or battery removal and mother board swapping. If all your isolation seems futile the worst is the mother board.

Could it be overheating, and automatically shutting-down, to avoid damage?
Shut it down.
Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the battery.
Purchase a can of compressed air, and give your computer a "blow-job", shooting compressed air into every orifice, to remove all the dust that could be acting like a layer of "insulation", preventing your computer from cooling itself.

I have a DFI AM75-TC motherboard, 3beeps, no video

Hi richardbyers, three short beeps means there is a problem with your memory. (Base 64K memory failure). Unplug the power from the PC. Open the case & touch the bare metal on the case to discharge your self.
Remove the memory & reseat it. Leave the case opened & re-connect the power cord & try booting again. If you still hear three short beeps, shut the system down again as mentioned above. Gather some house hold alcohol & a couple cotton swabs. Drip a drop or two onto a cotton tip & wipe the memory's contacts, both sides & do not touch the contacts with your fingers during re-install or cleaning. Blow the memory slots out with canned air or use a clean paint brush. Insert the memory again & connect the power cord. Boot the PC. Try this first. If everything works out than good. If the problem does not clear its self let me know.

Good luck richardbyers!
