Re: how does tourism bring positive impact on culture
You need to define culture. How does a 2012 Nissan Sentra affect tourism?
If you mean the effect tourism has on a local cultural group, there are many ways it can affect it positively. Culture can only develop if it faces change. Humans develop by change, so does everything they are involved in.
If a culture does not develop, it stagnates. For example, if a group of cannibals do not face the modern world where cannibalism is morally and legally wrong, they will never be able to fit into modern society, so they have to change their eating habits.
Tourism brings new ideas to a culture, and people get new insights of how the world outside of their own frame of reference think and operate. Without tourism, there would be no tourists who bring these new ideas to the culture within which they tour.
Tourism will also engender the wish in locals to see what is out there, and will encourage members of a certain cultural group to venture further than their own villages, towns or countries. When these visitors return home, they will relate their travel experiences to others, and so the culture will develop positively.
