It had continuity, I also tried starting it with the two leads on the thermal fuse taped together. Door switch worked, I tried starting with door open and holding the button in, it can tell when door is open.

How`d they?about the beep, check your sensors if dirty, clean all possible sensor locations well with your paint brush.you forgot to tell if that zero means having continuity or infinite?if that infinite or no resistance at all,it means your sensor got busted and needs to replace with a new one.then be sure your lid switch activates well while the door of your unit being shut(closed).that`s all,may it helps you a lot

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Working but no heat

it sounds like your heating element is gone bad. there is no heat if they burn out or get corroded

SOURCE: Dryer won't start, checked thermal fuses and start switch.

It sounds like you have been through most of the areas too look.

One thing to make sure of is that you have a full 240 volts. An electric dryer can measure 120 volts. from L1 to common and 120 volts from L2 to common but you also need to make sure you have 240 volts from L1 to L2 on the meter, one leg of the breaker or one of the two fuses could be blown.

If this is alright you only have a couple components left. The timer contacts and the drive motor. Either of these could be causing the issue.

To check the motor with the power disconnected check for continuity between switch terminal 5 and the Green(black) wire on the motor. If you have no continuity the motor is bad. Check for continuity between the terminal 6 and the yellow wire on the motor, if you have no continuity there the motor is bad. Check for continuity between terminal 1 and 2 on the motor if you you do not have continuity the motor is bad.

The timer should have continuity between the Yellow and Grey wire terminals for the motor to start.

I hope this helps

Duet dryer wont start beeps and sensing lights up!

Its likely your thermal fuse is out.

Disconnect the power! Remove the lint filter screen. Remove the two screws from the bottom flange of the toe panel. Pull the toe panel out at the bottom, pull down, and remove the panel. Remove the screw from the lint duct bracket and remove the bracket. Remove the two screws from the lint duct and remove the duct.

Then you will see the white thermal fuse on your blower wheel housing. You can jump it with an alligator clip or take the wires off the thermal fuse and use electrical tape to tape them together to see if it comes on. DON'T LEAVE IT JUMPED TO RUN A CYCLE, order a new one.
Here is a the part.

I press the start button on my whirlpool duet dryer and it beeps, but doesn't start

This is a common issue caused by a blown thermal fuse located on the blower housing and wired in series with the motor. Power to the motor is then cut and therefore cannot run. No dryer function works when the motor cannot run. Click on the link below for the complete details of the troubleshooting and repair procedure.

Whirlpool Duet dryer won't move past sensing function on any cycl

Found the culprit. The thermal fuse was blown. Had no conductivity with ohm meter so I placed a jumper around it and presto dryer runs. Cleaned the exhaust and fan but found no blockage and really was not that bad. Hoping maybe just a weak part. The model on the Whirlpool Duet electric dryer is GEW9250PWL I believe the the last three are just the color. The part number on the Thermal Fuse is #3392519. This is easy to get to through the front panel just below the load door. Hope this helps some else out.

Possible door s/w or thermal fuse. If its blowing thermal fuses with a clean and avg vent run check the relay, cycle unit with no heat fuction if the heat still comes on replace the relay board. Call your local servicer.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Working but no heat

i need help fixing my 5 year old dryer. whirlpool duet model GEW9200LW1. I have replaced the thermistor. I tested (with an ohm meter) the heating coil, thermal fuse, high limit thermostat, & heating element and they were all fine. I replaced the electronic control assembly and the user interface. THE DRYER STILL WONT HEAT.
Then it occurred to me that the sensor may not allow the dryer to heat if its not sensing wet. Could this be true? Have I been trouble shooting this wrong?
Help me.
