Question about Maytag Gemini 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Double Oven Range - Stainless-Steel
Repair man fixed top oven probe sensor due to a F1-1 error code. Top oven is still giving the same error code. Repairman wants to come back and charge 200.00 bucks again to replace bottom oven sensor. I am only getting the error code on the top oven. Does this make any sense?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I had same problem, error code F 1-8, shorted keypad. I was so frustrated I went ahead and tore it apart. There was a surprising amount of gunk and moisture between the plastic face and the actual contacts. I cleaned it up and let it dry out. It worked OK for a while, but the seal is not good, and moisture from baking is still getting into it. When it goes bad again, I'm going to take off the plastic face and just press the sensors with a pencil eraser. I'll probably replace the range within the year. No way I'm paying $385 for new pad + installation on 10 year old stove.

F-1 error is a Temperature Runaway. It Maytag's way of letting you know that oven overheated. Nothing you have done but it may have shorted out the oven sensor or the keypad. Check the sensor and see if it's closed. If it's okay, replace the keypad.
