Corrosion is your enemy. Try pouring "Unlime" or "Borcoil" down the casing. Don\'t pull too hard on the pipe if it is plastic because if it breaks you have a permanently stuck pump in the well. Hopefully you have a 1200# plastic rope tied to the pump to pull on.

What is the different between shallow well and mono block motors?

shallow well pumps are normally centrifugal pumps and have a limited lift head at which they can pull water unless they are jet pumps which get around an extra 6 to 8 feet in lift height but a a reduced pressure
mono block pumps are positive displacement pumps when there is a special screw operating in a rubber block ( mono block) and can lift higher and at a better pressure
normally mono pumps are immersion pumps driven by long drive shafts from a motor at the well head
centrifugal pumps are normally restricted to fluids with a very low viscosity rating such as water , fuel where as mono pumps can have various rubber blocks fitted to accommodate heavier materials such as explosive mixture,
thick fluids such as molasses or liquid materials with solid content such as sand in the mix

Got a new red lion shallow pump hooked it up but would only run 10 secs got another one did the same thing checked with electrican to make sure power good is there a problem in the pump itself ?

Pump should be connected or wired to its own circuit with no other outlets or equipment in the circuit line. Fuses and circuit breaker should be of ample capacity in the electrical circuit. THIS PUMP IS TO BE USED IN A CIRCUIT PROTECTED BY A GROUND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER. If not properly wired it will throw the breaker. Leakin water pump

the water pump on a car has a bearing that blocks a hole when working. When the pump goes, it pulls the bearing from the hole and leaks. This is very common, and it was made this way for pin-pointing the issue. The water pump should be replaced.

Shallow well jet pump not pumping and kicking out

It sounds like the pump impeller is impaired. A sure way to tell is take the impeller off or out of the housing and see if pump works by itself. Lots of pumps do this when they have been frozen. Hope this helps.
