Can't find replacement sprocket/slip ring/washer for the newer 40volt brushless chainsaw model RY40511. Ryobi website sends to ereplacementparts.com, they don't have model in their inventory. Tried ordering parts from RY40500, just arrived, won't fit. Sprocket busted loose and lost in September, HELP!

Hi Kent murphey, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
Would there be a UT- number on it?

Still no ry40511 model on ereplacementparts.com . Called and placed order with Ryobi, but nice man said could take months. Home Depot man said go to Home Depot Repair Center Store nearby, that they get the parts I can't. Will try that approach and let this board know.

See if John Deere has a similar product. Ryobi & John Deere were together a while back and they carry more parts than the private label brand for identical items. If not your out of luck because it was probably mass produced in China for a limited time.

my name is Dennis Gladx and I can assist you with the problem of getting the sprocket off of the crankshaft of your chainsaw.

To remove the centrifugal clutch and sprocket you unscrew it from the crankshaft and it has a left hand thread. Also a little trick to remove anything from a crankshaft that could turn while you want to unscrew the item, Remove the spark plug and insert some rope into the cylinder for the piston to squeeze against and you will jam the piston without damage.

Glad to be of assistance Please rate this solution because I can learn from your rating. Thank you

My Ryobi 40cc chainsaw saw runs strong, but the chain binds and will not turn. The safety break is not engaged and the chain is not tighten to tight. I think it maybe the sprocket but it does not look...

If your chain has recently jumped off the bar while running, your chain may have "burs" on the drive links (part of the chain that rides in the bar groove). These burs will make the chain rub the inside of the rails and thus bind the chain in the groove. You can file these off with a flat file if there aren't very many, but you may need to just replace the chain. You can find files, bars, chains & sprockets for your saw at PartsBuggy.com.

How do I adjust the automatic oiler for more oil to the bar and chain on a Homelite 360?

I'm not certain you can. Is there any mention in your Operator's Manual? It appears from the IPL early model 360s have an adjustment. Later models may not. I see no adjuster listed for the newer block of saws.

Homelite/Ryobi.com
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.
The numbers Homelite & Ryobi use don't match the numbers everyone posts. A careful inspection of your saw should find something that matches. HTH

My ryobi chainsaw rcs 2040 keeps stopping but motor is still running, chain not moving!

RYOBI----- with the motor running at high revs the chain stops indicates that the sprocket behind the centrifugal clutch is worn out or the centrifugal clutch itself ,or the clutch shoes are worn out the way to tell is to remove the bar and chain and have alook where the chain was conected to the saw, i think you will see the sprocket is buggered and as that is attatched to the clutch drum that will have to be replaced along with clutch springs and shoes, i think you have been running the chain a bit too loose or not running it at realy high revs ,which is what they are designed to do ,cme back to me if you feel the need

Is the chain brake "on"?, can you pull the chain around the bar?

Is the drive sprocket teeth worn all the way through.
Does the engine high rev or is it loaded when you throtle up?
