Question about Singer Sewing Machines

I just bought a P60111 ruffler foot for my Singer quantum XL 5000 and I can not figure out how to adjust the needle so that it will not hit the metal part and break while I am sewing.

Make sure that they are compatible. If not compatible, needle will hit foot.

SOURCE: My quantum cxl singer sewing machine will not sew athe alphabat letters without hitting the pressure foot

it sounds like the timing is off, having the machine checked
would be a good idea, to let you know for sure.

SOURCE: singer quantum cxl sewing machine needle hitting metal

First of all, change to a new needle. Make sure you are using correct needle and have inserted it all the way into needle clamp and that you have it in correctly (flat side should be away from you). If this does not correct the problem, then hook to needle timing is off and will need to be adjusted by technician.

Do you have a foot pedal for Singer 2210?

Your foot pedal works on several models of high-end machines, including a Bernina. Unfortunately, while you can easily purchase a replacement at several sites, it's pricey. However, I took a look on eBay, and there's one for sale there for $50, which is much better than $149, which is the list price. Here's the link

I know how to attach my ruffler foot but my needle keeps hitting the plate .what do I need to adjust to keep the needle from hitting the foot

You may need to move the needle position left or right. Try a different stitch length. If the ruffler foot is installed correctly and needle is in the correct position this should not happen. It is hitting left/right/forward or back of the ruffler needle space?

How do you get the auto threading and wind in place to work on Singer XL6000 sewing machine

There are several FB and Yahoo groups dedicated to the Quantum XL-1000, XL-5000 and XL-6000 who can help you. It may be that your problem with the autothreading is the autothreader is out of adjustment, but I'm at a loss as to the bobbin winder problem.

Thread keeps breaking on my singer XL 5000. Seems like after i cleaned lint out of bobbin area i started having the problem

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

My top thread breaks about every 10th stitch on my xl 5000. I have bought new thread, replaced needle.....I don't know what to do next! Please help!!!

Try this-When you pull your thread through the channel for the automatic needle threader, make sure you pull back on the thread hard. There is a groove that the thread must pass through to keep it from breaking. I had mine in the shop for the same problem and that is what they had me do. No more breaking.
