Sometimes, it helps to wait for an actual human and explaining to them that they can be sued in small claims court if they call again.
Many of these have been successful (if they are available in your area).
$500 fines are common.

SOURCE: Siemens 2520 gigaset base

Hi Mike,

Its an easy fix, you need to tell the phone what area code your in. Push menu, go to system settings, enter your pin, scroll forward to "area codes" press enter twice, enter your area code and push enter to save. Now the phone knows where your located and wont add the 1 and the area code. CG

SOURCE: Cannot change name ID for each extension, shows old names

Read several on-line manuals and found out another way to access programming trees. It was a confusing mess and was mostly trial and error. The 4 keys under the read out screen are a key factor and knowing how those buttons interact with each other is important. In the process I screwed up regular functions because the password that allows set-up using the feature codes cannot be changed. Not a user friendly set-up at all and the initial manual virtually useless for some needs.

SOURCE: I would like to block a phone number, sender

To block a telephone number that feature has to come from your telephone company. The best thing to do would be to contact your phone company and have them setup the block.

Is everyone's cell phone number being released to the public and will we receive telemarketer calls unless we call a specific number to stop them?

No, your number is not being released to the public. But at the same time be smart, keep it off of places like social media I.e. Facebook, Twitter etc. Then more exposure you have, the higher the likelihood for telemarketing, spam and so on!

Save the number as a contact. Then go into contact settings and set it to send them straight to voicemail. That guy won't bother you again. In my phone contacts I have telemarket1, telemarket 2, etc.

People are phoning me to say that they can settle my credit cards and make me some money. i am fine with the way i am paying but they are phoning upto 5 times a day and i am getting stressed about it.

Hello, what you can do is register your number with www.donotcall.gov which is the national do not call registery sponsored by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) this will prohibit telemarketers from contacting you, now if its a possible scam or debt collectors this site will not stop it, i would then contact your carrier and request a Free Number Change due to Harrassing Calls

Hope This Helps

How can I block telemarketers from calling me. I pay for call block on my phone bill, but it does not work.

When a telemarketer calls tell them "Remove this number form your calling list now (then tell them your #). Then you can hang up!!!

It is the LAW that if you tell the telemarketers not to call your number back, they can't.

If they do call back again after telling them not to call back they can get in serous trouble...so they never call back.

I had this problem when I got my new phone number that was used previously.Know no one calls me!!!

the Phone block you have only blocks a certain list of well known Telemarketers.
