SOURCE: why haven`t I received any SSI or SOCIAL SECURETY BENEFITS SINCE DECEMBER 2013?

If there is a local branch I reccomend that you go in and speak to someone at the bank itself. If this continues to happen you can also look to close the account and move to a different bank. I would also call social security and inform them of the problem if you are unable to resolve it at the bank an seek reimbursement for back missing funds. Give them the new infomation from the new bank's account and they will let the old bank refund the money to them, however you will need to try and get the old account closed and likely you will be able to recover the funds at that time and without having SS do anything but change to a new bank and new account. This all applies only if you get direct deposit.

SOURCE: What kind of benefits should I check before buying insurance?

talk with several insurance brokers
talk about benefits, what happens if, when and after
talk about different products and how it affects you if you stop payments, die, who gets what
remember that insurance companies only provide a policy that benefits them not you and to get you to part with money they have to give the minimum required

Can a person with new citizen papers collect social security is they have not worked in the U.S.?

No. BUT
Most people who immigrate to the United States after they've reached retirement age will not have the 40 U.S. work credits needed to qualify for Social Security unless they worked in the country for a cumulative 10 years when they were younger. However, if you're able to legally work in the United States for a year and a half after arriving and can earn at least $1,260 per quarter, you may qualify to receive prorated U.S. Social Security benefits under a totalization agreement with a country you worked in previously.

How to Find the Right Voluntary Benefits Plan

By Trustmarksolutions.com

Life. It can be unpredictable at best which is probably why the insurance industry has grown to the size that it has. With that growth, insurance companies have come and gone, but most of us are familiar with the big names in the voluntary benefits world. When shopping around, it's hard to tell who offers the best product for the best price. So, how do you know you're getting the coverage that you, your family, or your employees need and deserve? We're going to tell you how to find the right insurance coverage today.

Some Things to Consider When Signing up for a Voluntary Benefits Plan

Perhaps one of the most important things to consider when searching for the right benefits plan is whether or not the prospective company takes a genuine interest in your needs, so they can find the right solution for you. Few companies take the time to listen to their clients and if you have the opportunity to work with a voluntary benefits provider that has designed coverage based on customer feedback; then that's a company you should seriously consider working with.

Another thing to consider, is choosing a company that is willing to work with you and/or your employees. Most insurance companies take a "one-size-fits-all" approach when offering plans and packages to their clients. When considering a voluntary benefits provider, you want to look for flexibility and a company that is client-focused.

Also, if they assign someone to work one-on-one with each of your employees during the enrolment process by educating them on the different coverage options. This will give your employees a better understanding about their coverage, and that's so important since most people often don't understand what their coverage can actually do for them.

What Type of Coverage to Get

The great thing about working with a voluntary benefits provider that listens to the needs of its customers is, you won't end up buying coverage that doesn't apply to you, your family, or coverage that doesn't set your company apart from the rest. Rather than offering pre-designed packages, it's nice to know that someone is willing to offer you coverage based on your needs.

The type of coverage your chosen provider should be willing to offer:

  • Life Insurance: Covers your family should anything happen to you.
  • Accident Insurance: In the event of an accident, this can cover you where your other health insurance may not be able to cover you.
  • Critical Illness Insurance: If you're diagnosed with an illness, this will help take care of your family and your home.
  • Disability Insurance: Covers unexpected illnesses and becomes your paycheck when you are unable to work.
  • Long-term care Insurance Options: ***** benefits, living benefits, terminal illness benefits with options for what you'd like covered by this benefit
  • Life Health & Wealth: Coaching and planning for personal health and finances.

Where to Find the Right Voluntary Benefits Provider

Try doing a search under words like, "voluntary insurance, employee voluntary benefits, voluntary benefits for employees, and disability insurance". You'll most likely find a host of companies under these words, but remember to take the time to do your research, so you can offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package to your employees.

Is there any truth to getting more mooney from social security born before 1969?

It... depends. If you were born in 1969, you're not even 50. They're likely looking at things like "Don't start claiming benefits early" (the earliest age you can get them is 62, in any case, but you won't get the full benefit)

Honestly, I tend to look at some of these as being scams - or at the very least shady. So many of these ads give you tidbits of information - then want to start charging you high fees for things you can find out on your own.

Is it true that Social security checks are going to be renamed to Federal benefit checks

It's true that Social Security retirement payments are classified as "federal benefit payments." The word "benefits" has been applied to Social Security retirement payments since the Social Security program was enacted in the 1930s. The terminology is also not unique to Social Security, as the phrase "federal benefit payments" applies to a broad class of payments made to (or on behalf of) individuals under federal government programs - everything from Social Security Disability Insurance to Medicare to farm subsidies are considered "federal benefit payments." The fact that workers themselves contribute much of the money that goes into the Social Security retirement fund doesn't affect its classification as a benefit. They benefit the person who cashes the check.
